It seems that everyone thinks Beat was impossible, and Core was really hard. I recently downloaded Beat, and I'm downloading Void today. I didn't find Beat to be very hard, except for 4-player co-op. I'll have to see about Void, but did you all find them that difficult?
Just let it happen.

I only tried the Beat demo, and it took a little effort but I did manage to finish it. Multiplayer actually makes it harder too! (Although more fun!) I can imagine the difficulty ramping up in the later levels. But since they have a retro stye, I'd expect the games to be hard. If they were too easy, I'd complain.
Core isn't that hard at all, but void is hard because it's impossible to see anything (which is complete BS by the way if you're listening, Gaijin Games). As for Beat, I have no idea why it's hard. I think it's just that planning and music don't really go together.

Beat and Core were both excellent to me (though Core's second level was crazy hard compared to the third), but Void is not really my cup of tea. That's okay, though; i know there's people out there who love Void and probably can't stand the first two games. hooray for the upcoming Runner :3

beat is more than beatable, especially in multiplayer. Core is by far the hardest of the three, but the thing about the bit. trip games is that the patterns never change. you don't have to be the greatest gamer in the world to beat them, you just have to keep playing till you memorize the patterns.

well BIT:TRIP games are strange....i've beaten CORE quite easily but still havent managed to beat BEAT (hurr!) till today. i don't know about VOID. still over a week for europe to play this little monster.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
BEAT and CORE are quite difficult, but apparently beatable because people have beat them (including the designer's parents -- well at least BEAT). VOID is easier due to checkpoints, but I've still not beaten the first level.
Beat is difficult but not impossible. Core...well....that's a different story. On the first level, it just keeps going on and on and then i mess up and it's like "woooow". Never got past that first level but I hope to finish it soon.Hopefully, I'll be able to get void soon and fail at that too!
well, there are a lot of opinions but for me,all games are beatable,BEAT just in the third level is impossible, i still cant process the fact that someone made a perfect at BEAT
I love the challenge in both BEAT and CORE. They are perfect for me. (I've beaten then both multiple times ) I just got VOID a few days ago, and I must say, the touchiness of the analog makes it quite difficult for me... BEAT is still my all time favorite, though...
I've beaten the three games, and I found the first two fairly difficult... but not overly difficult. I thought the challenge was just right. Of course, half of the fun is going back and replaying levels to try for a high score. There's tons of replay value that way.
Unless you can read the future, or have the reflexes of a cat, then yes. They're games that rely heavily on on pattern memorization and sharp reflexes, so naturally you're going to die a lot before you can complete a stage.

.... I must be special, because I beat every level of BEAT on my first try... (:3=
