Heh, I got thereof when I downloaded Pokémon Puzzle League. (If only someone had recorded thereof...)

Actually, I like Bowser AND hairy bellies!

i knew they were filling something... it's been a while since i've downloaded anything from the DSi Shop, though.

It's weird, though, because it BECOMES a present, but I think she's right that it's initially water. Or something.

Basically the characters walk on a horizontal plane, and pitch the blue circles they carry into the top of the box. The top of the box is parallel to the top of the screen. (The fact that the blue circles they carry seem to liquefy once their tossed into the box is strange in itself, but no matter.)

Anyway, once the box is full of water, it becomes a present...only now the "top" of the box is facing us, holding the DS. Weird. Shouldn't the gift be capped off at the "top" through which the characters were filling it? It's kind of strange.

I mean, it doesn't really matter, but if you're going to bother with some progress animation, it'd be nice for it to at least make some kind of logical sense within itself.

I always thought it was little magic data bubbles of some kind that they were throwing into the box until it was full and at that time it uses the magic data bubbles to matirialize into a present. Just my take on the situation.

I just DLed pictobits yesterday, and I find myself standing by my initial statement -- they look like they're filling a container with round bubbles of water/liquid, and then the container forms a present.

but whatever is officially happening, whether it be magic data bubbles or liquid or whatever else, i got myself an awesome game yesterday. pictobits is so much fun.

Waiting Brethern, I bring you a second movie of the animation

Hope you like it

Link6694 (Head reviewer of Wiilike2review Productions)

Wii would like to review! :P

Stuffgamer1

I've either never gotten that, or only once a long time ago. Not sure which.
The animations I HAVE gotten are:

  • Regular Mario
  • Super Mario
  • Regular Luigi
  • Super Luigi
  • Fire Bro.

There's technically no way to tell which Bro. is fire because of how the original Super Mario Bros. handled it.
And on the off chance somebody didn't know, you can press A during the Fire Bro. downloading screen to throw a fireball.

I'm pretty sure that when it's finished, the package flips forwards really fast as the lid is put on, so the top facing the top of the screen is now pointed at you.

@stuffgamer1: I did not know that, I got fire bro once I believe but never considered pressing any buttons. I already learned that pressing the button will not make it go faster.

Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.

Supermarioman

I saw a showing of it on Youtube, nice, I wish you could play the download.

Sean_Aaron

Same as stuffgamer1 never seen anything but those on both systems and I've done dozens of downloads.

Something to look forward to then!

I remember when I first saw the swimming animation......I was downloading Sim City. What a fateful day that was.

As far as the DSiWare animation, Princess Peach is slacking! I always yell "Pick up the pace woman! You call that helping to fill a present!"

[insert 25 Cents here to play]

Chunky_Droid

Yeah, Chicken should review the download screen, he's obviously analyzed it enough!
