No, you don't have to pay at all for DLC. In fact, it was just a way for people to come back to it when it first came out. The DLC was already in the game, you just had to wait for it to come out and the game would unlock it for free.
As for my Wiiware purchases, Wild West Guns was the only title I was dissapointed with. I felt there was no reason to come back to it, since getting Platinum medals was ridiculously easy.

Yoshi's Story (N64) - This annoying and ridiculously boring Platforming put me to sleep.

Do Re Mi Fantasy (SNES) - No wonder they didn't release this outside of Japan. it's fun in the beginning, but once i hit the 4th World i wanted to call it quits. There was no real challenge, laughably easy Boss Battles, and it just got tedious and stale fast. Blowing bubbles to destroy blocks and capture enemies just wasn't fun for me...Not to mention everything about the game felt flat and unsatisfying... NintendoLife gave it a 9/10...that I'll never understand.

Boogerman (Genesis) - Actually....if it weren't for my Nostalgia playing this back in the day, I most likely wouldn't have downloaded this. Overall it's a total run of the mil platformer with One(or three) major gimmicks...Killing your enemies by 'flicking your Boogers, Farting and Burping' ;p At first you'll find this entertaining, but it gets stale fast and you're then left with one bland, frusturating and difficult platformer....Which I actually beat hehe.
I'm still wondering if I should delete it off of my Wii Menu...My Nostalgia is making me cling to it! ;D And everytime I scroll through my Wii Menu I see it's 'big ugly green vibrant Snotty Booger covered Title' beaming me right in the eyes ;p

Metal Slug 2 (NeoGeo) - Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic little gem of a game which i managed to finish, which was no walk in the park. But little did i know Metal Slug 2 is plagued with horrible slowdown. Apperantly there is another version of this game....A more improved version with more weapons AND it gets rid of the Slowdown problems. It's called 'Metal Slug X' Too bad I never knew about it, because it would of saved me some points!
Overall I did have a good time with the game, but there's something about it I'm not crazy over. I guess because it lacks the bright vibrant colors of it's more popular brother 'Contra' and the series feels way too fimilur with each oating. If there was only one game in the Metal Slug Franchise that I had to choose it would be MS3.

Contra ReBirth (WiiWare)...Now for a Contra game it let me down. there were only 5 Levels, and what was really annoying is that you got Unlimited Continues, so it made the experience all the more easy and less intense. In past contra games, once you lost all of your Continues you'd start back from the beginning...And each time this would happen you'd at least have the chance to master these levels again and you became better and better. ReBirth doesn't give you this chance. instead it wussies out and gives you unlimited continues making the experience less intense, less challenging and faster to finish. Negatives aside it's still a diffulicut and fun game, and I liked how it went for a more vibrant and colorful fun look compared to Contra III. I also loved the first Boss Battle. ...Talk about Surreal and beautiful. Yet the final boss was just silly and flat out dissapointing. Once i finished Contra ReBirth in at around 2 hours(Yes I died alot in the last 2 levels) you really feel like you didn't get your money's worth. Yes you can opt for diffirent difficulty settings which become way too insane and difficult. But as it stands, Konami should of through in 2 or 3 more Levels, had the option to have 'Limmited Continues' and pumped out a more epic and bigger, badder final Boss....than THIS would of been one of the greatest Contra experiences ever.

"Excitebike: World Rally - I've only had it for about a week, but I can already tell that I'm not getting my tenner's worth out of it. Predictably good fun, but slight."

Have you been playing online? I always find at least one other to play with, usually all other three slots fill up quick. Racing other people is the best part about the game. Not the deepest game, but multiplayer gets crazy.

let's see here..... Bit.Trip Void, Evasive Space, and Eduardo the Samurai Toaster are the three absolute worst and first that come to memory. There would probably be a few more I wish I had my money back on if my SD card channel was open and I was looking at it. Still, all and all, I've steered clear of almost all the stinkers and have a pretty good collection.

What is up with the Bit Trip franchise? Everybody seems to be loving these games. I havent played any of the 3, because i just dont find them appealing and not to mention they look totaly repetitive.

Overturn. No one ever plays it online, so I haven't got my money's worth.

Swords & Soldiers. I just don't like the gameplay.

Luckily my brother is buying this one, so I won't be the one regretting the purchase.

@Donatello That's such a shame to read you say that. I was always a little interested in Do Re Mi, and say the amazing reviews for it. The price was what was keeping me from actually buying it, but now you're also keeping me from it. haha

Also, about Contra Rebirth, i thought it was great fun, but a bit expensive. Am i wrong in saying that Super C also had unlimited continues? It seems like it whenever i play it. I love Yugira though, he's my hero, I always play him.

And about the Bit Trip series, its the reviews, they do catch on. People are going gaga for it, and i have the first one. Its fun sometimes, but i would never buy another one unless it was dramatically different. So because of that, i skipped the 2nd and 3rd one because i feel it would just be a repeat after seeing gameplay videos. I like watching my friends play it, they get so frustrated, but i think i only pull the game out like, once a month though. Not a true regret, but i wouldn't recommend it highly.

@Swerd_Murd Why would you buy Eduardo? I remember seeing the gameplay screenshots back before the game came out, and people were actually looking forward to it, but with a "pinch of salt". Then within an hour of the update, all the bad reviews started pouring in, and then most people just stayed away. I don't remember ever seeing a good review for that game. Same with Stop Stress, Gravitronix, and Bit Boy!!; games that had been covered quite a bit leading up to their release, but panned and buried once the few people that had played them reported back to the rest of us.

I thank those people often for keeping me from bad purchases.

Actually, I have a wee bit, and I was a bit hasty with my shortened analysis. You're spot on when you say its "not the deepest game, but multiplayer gets crazy". Good stuff!

Regarding Do Re Mi Fantasy, it does have a vibrant colorful cutesy vibe and look to it but it just lacks the punch and depth that was given by the far more superior Super Mario World. And like I said I've only made it to the 4th World...I remember getting to a Castle and I ended up calling it quits because it just felt all too familur and again lacking challenge....But you know, I may actually give it another chance and play it again. Then again, it all started to get a wee' bit stale during Candy Land. I don't know, I guess I'm not exactly the best persion to give off a full opinion since I havent finished the game....but be warned muhaha. At most based on what I've played I'd give it a 7/10.

And really, If I could I'd send you my VC SNES copy of the game Online through the Wii instead of you wasting cash on it. But I'm guessing you can't do that

As for Contra ReBirth, ya I thaught it was great fun as well but I was so dissapointed by it's leangth after finishing it that i felt like I didn't get my money's worth and was ripped off. Konami could of stuck in a Jungle and an Aquatic-based stage and something else to beef up the experience. 5 Stages is too short...Especially when you got unlimmited continues. Yet in ways I prefer this over Contra III. But Contra III is meatier and longer and is overall a more satisfying and full Contra Experience. But the first Contra for the NES will always be my fav! The day my mom brang it back as a gift from Hawaii and suprised me with it is one of my most cherished memories when I was a kid. But ya, I still need to play Super C, I think I'll get it off the Wii VC pretty soon.

ahh, well I think the only reason he'll regret it is because of it's leangth. Other than that it's a great Contra game.
First Boss is totaly epic(yet easy) And Level 3 gets nuts when you're jumping from Robot Cammel to cammel...I dare you try that on hard more. They shoot freakin' laser beams from their heads, it's next to impossible to beat

Please tell me there was someone else who was stupid enough to buy;

Three Muskateers, all for one and one for all!

What an atrocious game When I stop laughing maybe I'll break down in tears for wasting valuable points on that CRAP. Mamma mia. Monotonous gameplay, strange cut scenes where the music cuts out very quickly, and sometimes there is no speech at all - stupid animated head of Porthos in the corner of the screen, appalling sound affects, lame motion controls... lmao, that's the last time I buy a game purely on the basis that I read it was a platformer with cel shaded graphics.

I'm playing through 3 musketeers atm, and I'm definitely not impressed, controls really are pretty bad, and with a lack of moves it gets old fast, I recommend avoiding this one, I wish I had.

Heh, well I won't spoil the ending brother... but all I can say is, it is definitely representative of the quality of the rest of the game. I could honestly write 2000 words about this game and how bad it is.

Yeah I know, I wasn't being serious. That is the only 'game' I regret buying though, I'm careful with what I buy and don't buy 5h1t, ever. It just annoys me whenever I'm on the SD menu, staring at me, laughing at me, ggrrrr.

It's easier to blame Nintendo Life than myself.

I gave My Aquarium to a friend of mine when he had his birthday as a joke. He told me he is for ever grateful for it. He even gave me a copy in return on my birthday. Oh my, My Aquarium is awful.
