Topic: Games you regret buying

I know this could pertain to any of the download services, but I'm going to stick this topic onto the Wiiware thread.

Are there any games that, looking back on your download history, your Wii memory or your SD card memory, that you regret buying. Was it because you just never played them? Or were they just bad games in general?

I find that sometimes i am looking forward to a game so much that when it doesn't come out for a long time (like Night Game, Super Meat Boy, or And Yet it Moves), i tend to get anxious and download anything promising out of the more lackluster updates.

I think out of all the games i bought, i regret:
Tomena Sanner(500 points) - I just never play it, and when i did found it boring

Fast Draw Showdown(500 points) - Just wasn't worth it

The Magic Obelisk(500 points) - Not a bad game at all, just not something i really ever play, kinda just sits there

Tales of Monkey Island Ep. 1(1000 points) - I really am trying to force myself to get through it, its just not engaging, and i went throught three of the Strong Bad games already and was satisfied with those. I dunno, i guess they were...funnier.

As for virtual console:

Castlevania II (500 points) - Just not very fun at all, i feel now that i should have gotten Castlevania IV instead.

Tower Toppler/Nebulus (500 points) - I must've been pretty nostalgic for the NES version, since i played that often as a kid. I haven't played it since the day i downloaded it though....

SF Alpha 2 - (800 points) - I must've been lamenting the fact thar Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 will never come out for Wiiware, cuz i loved playing some of the characters in that game, specifically Sakura. Actually, i could add Super Street Fighter 2 to this list as well, since i have both of those games and don't play either. A friend in my school that i hang out with comes over and plays them, but i don't really have any interest in the series at all. Sigh...

Seeing this list i feel pretty guilty. I'd like to hear other people's comments on this issue, and hear their stories. Hopefully in a similar format to how i posted my list.

Overall i feel i wasted:

4300 Nintendo Points!!!!!

um water warfare cause i never play that, art of fighting 2 cause that game sucks, mario super sluggers sucks, and defend your castle, i could play that on pc for free!

I regret buying LIT, StrongBad's Cool Game for Attractive People ep. 1, Tetris Party, and a few others. They don't have the "oomph" that some other Wiiware titles have, imo

mario galaxy and nsmbwii are awesome! probably two of the best wii games out there...

I regret a couple of purchases.

Bust-a-Move Plus - I really didn't enjoy this game. The presentation was mediocre, controls were disappointing (with no option for motion or pointer controls), and many of the higher levels were completely unfair. Even the multiplayer ended up being disappointing. Frankly, I'd rather play a free flash game online using the Internet Channel.

Pool Revolution: Cue Sports - The motion controls simply didn't feel good, and I prefered the pool mini-game from WiiPlay. Cue Sports did offer some great options, even including online play... but without better controls it doesn't matter much since it almost never got played.

To make this a little bit positive, there have also been games that surprised me in a good way. Cubello and Magnetica Twist were both extremely enjoyable - with Magnetica Twist in particular earning a LOT of playing time between my wife and I.

My Zoo, Onslaught, and... um... idk.

I don't really regret buying any of my WiiWare games although I haven't played enough Tetris Party to get my money's worth. It's the type of game which is most fun in multiplayer but everyone I know prefers Dr. Mario for some reason so we play that instead when we fancy a top down puzzler. So yeah I guess I wasted 1200 pts on that one.

VC? Ice Climbers. My brother kinda liked it, but I couldn't stand it. Also, NES Donkey Kong, horrible game. And Alex Kidd in Miracle World. It's not bad, but I don't have any incentive to play it.
Wiiware? Just Gyrostarr. It was fun for a while, but now I can't get myself to play it ever again.

I only regret buying World of Goo. It's not a bad game, but not worth the 1500 points in my opinion. I haven't bought that many Wiiware games yet though.

Aha I found it! The worst game with the worst graphics.
Rubik's Puzzle Galaxy. Game relies way to much on trial and error luck.
You, me and the Cubes. Boring. Blah. Played it for an hour.
Tetris Party. This game isn't bad... i just don't care for tetris that much I guess.
Critter Round-up. I should have known better based on the review but just thought it would be more fun than it is.

Boingz-I got it before I had heard of NL. Big disappointment.
Rabbids Lab - just an impulse buy. After reading the review. _{I don't know what I was thinking.}

I never bought it, but I got the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darkloid Demo. Biggest load of crap ever.

At this stage, just Lit. Horror games and puzzlers don't mix, it seems. Actually, horror games in which you can't actually die don't work.

Yeah, that demo wasn't even worth the space on my SD card and I'm using a 16 gig card so it wasn't deleted for space.

But the one full game I have on there is Reel Fishing or some crap that was gifted to me. I'm no longer friends with them.

I prefer My Life As King, but I liked My Life as a Darklord. It was a cute take on the tower defence theme.
