Ive enjoyed all my wiiware games with one major exception.. that Coccato Fishing game, I felt I wasted my points there and probably only played it twice and not for very long.

I kind of regret Target Toss Pro Bags because I really liked it when I played it in an arcade in Myrtle Beach, so I bought it and I liked it, but then I remembered I'm a social tragedy. Also, Secret Rings is awesome.
It sure is pretty awesome!
As for TTPB, it's interesting that you mention that because Iv'e had my eye on it this past little while especially with some of the things I've been hearing of how people have enjoyed it here on NL. Mind sharing some of your thoughts?

Sure. It controls well, looks good and is fun. But with only an exhibition mode and no ability to challenge the AI, it's basically multiplayer only. So if you have friends, it's worth it. I'd also like to point out that TTPB was originally an Arcade game, and it was $1 per game so if you're willing to play just seven rounds of bags by yourself and even less if you have friends with you, you're getting your money's worth.
I've actually been thinking about getting Target Toss. I love playing Cornhole with my buddies and my uncle's buddies, and It's not nearly as expensive as an actual Cornhole table.
As for Wiiware disappointments, there hasn't really been any for me. Yet, anyway. The closest to a disappointment would be Defend your Castle. I got through about 30 levels before the game became overwhelmingly boring and repetitive. My second closest would be Dr. Mario. It was short on modes, so I got tired of it quickly, plus I kept getting annihalated online! >_<
Yeah, me too. Especially when you see the comments here on how much people have enjoyed it! Defend Your Castle is great, IMO. It's so worth it for the multiplayer enjoyment with friends.
@subzero: What's the character selection like? Are there a few environments to choose from? Does it feel a bit barebones in a way? What are the other modes like? In the review, I saw mention of new gameplay additions such as Cards so I was wondering if those are enjoyable.
@KnucklesSonic, you choose either male or female, right or left handed, and thats it. There are three enviroments and they are random. You can choose between Classic mode and Bags, Classic uses a score per inning system. Bags is a race to 21 points. There are cards, and they make a fun sideshow. You can have 1-4 play in a normal match, teammatch and tournament for 4, 8 or 16 players. There are wind variations and the game controls really well. It's very shallow but ver fun, and fun is after all, fun is the most important thing. but the fun lasts longer in a group.
And about DYC I did find it getting repetitive after a while but it's another firends make it better game.
Ah. I was a bit fearful of the barebones nature after my experience with Family Table Tennis but judging from your recommendation, it is worth 700, hm?
Like I said before, alone, no, with friends es. Again, liek i said before, if you are willing to play just seven rounds of bags, less if you playing with friends, your getting your money worth. i.e. if i was back in South Carolina at the machine again I would have spent about $15 on it, ($1 per game) but because it's on Wiiware I only paid $7. In that sense it's worth it.
I see what you're saying. So how come you feel like you shouldn't have gotten it? You mentioned "social tragedy". Did you mean it's because you don't have people to play with?
Uh huh. I live in the Northwest corner of Connecticut with a sister who despises me, parents who hates the existence of video games and firends who are only interested in first person shooters and fighters.
But the real regret is how long i played it for. I got 15 rounds in about an hour. The shortest amount of time I have ever plyed a game. Except for Milon's Secret Castle, which traumatized me in about 10 minutes. If you want to know about that game, watch the AVGN video.
I liked secret rings too. Then again, I'm a bit of a sonic fanboy. I love all sonic games, even Black Knight.
Anywho, I've only bought 3 wiiware games (bomberman blast, defend your castle and gyrostarr). BMB is good ONLY if you have friends to play it with. It gets boring fast alone and the online is only half as good as local. DYC is great fun, but only in short bursts. Those bursts last much longer if you have some friends playing. And gyrostarr is just terrible. I got to level 20 something and by then I was so bored of the same repetitive thing happening over and over, I just quit and deleted the game from the SD card and wii memory. It's hard to explain any other way. I tried to enjoy it, I really did. But there just isn't any enjoyment to be had in that game. It's just mind numbingly repetitive. So I'd say I only really regret Gyrostarr.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
