Ice Climbers and Balloon Fight are begging to be reborn on the Wii or DS. It'd be interesting to see if a remake of Clu Clu Land could somehow make the game fun, too.
Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble absolutely needs a Wiiware remake. Since flicking the contoller to jump wouldn't mess up your veiw of the screen like it did on the Gameboy, the game would be much more playable.
Besides, who doesn't want to play the "Do the Kirby" minigame big screen?

I'll retract my suggestion of Zelda 2, the game does need a remake but IMO a Zero Mission style remake which would be retail level, not WiiWare. WiiWare is for interesting experiments, not just regular 2D games.
Yea, that would make more sense, except I don't think Nintendo is willing to do 2D games on Wii. Wario Land is an obvious exception, but I can't see them doing that for one of their two biggest franchises -- as much as I'd love it. It might be more likely on DS, except that Zelda has only recently taken a new direction on the handheld front, and with a sequel on its way in the same style, I don't think they're done with it yet. I'd love to see such a remake in some form, but it sadly doesn't look to be in the cards.

Hooray! Someone else here still remembers that game exists! That game is begging to be reborn on Wii!
In addition to Tilt n' Tumble, I'd also like to see DK '94 remade, and a new 2D Metroid too. I'm also in the "4-player Baloon Fight would kcik ass" camp.
Ikaruga, Rez, Metal Gear 1/2 (Metal Gear: Rebirth; new translation, graphics, and maybe some improved gameplay or voice acting), Mazer Mayhem, rRootage.
I'd also like to see NMH remade in a 16-bit style, as if it were an SNES game, but I don't expect that to happen.
A Donkey Kong/Donkey Kong '94 game would be a perfect fit for WiiWare. Put the guys who made Wario Land Shake on the job. Simple one-screen puzzle platforming! Perfect fit for WiiWare! And you got Mario, instant seller. Listen up, Nintendo.
