How much longer will nintendo support wiiware and for that matter the VC with the Wii U now in place. Will any prices drop for the games already in place?

Yeah they do but the only downside was a $30 card only nets you 2000 points

I think Nintendo will support the Wii-shop for the next few years.

I don't think we'll be seeing any Wiiware games after 2013.

For the Wii VC, that's still getting Neo Geo games ttoday so I'm not sure.

I really don't know why nintendo didn't put WiiWare games on the eshop, like what they did with the DSiWare on the 3DS eshop. I'm sure that it would improve sales.

What they NEED to do, like 5 months ago, is integrate the Wii library into the WiiU eShop just like the 3DS does. But they made a (nother) critical mistake with the way they did the backwards compatibility, and I doubt they are going to rectify that anytime soon. But honestly, I know I am not the only one who can say for certain they would have bought a Wiiware or virtual console game on my WiiU if it wasn't such a cumbersome process.

If they were going to do that at all, it would have been done by now.

It hasn't, so I highly doubt it will happen.

My guess is that people complained about the 3DS eShop not being available for the first few months, so Nintendo rushed with the Wii U's eShop, thus having them not be able to implement a unified system for WiiWare on Wii U, like it is for DSiWare on 3DS. Arguably, they could have just delayed the console (which is what a couple people are saying SHOULD have happened, due to a "drout of games", which I disagree with) and worked on the eShop with extra time then, instead of having it be there, but not accessible for the first few months (like the 3DS). However, that would mean that the Wii U would miss out on the holiday period, so Nintendo probably decided against delaying the console. As for VC games, they are doing a new line-up of the same games (plus GBA and hopefully GameCube games) with brand-new features exclusive to the Wii U (GamePad-only play, Miiverse communities, etc.), so I don't really see a very good reason to put them in the same field as WiiWare.

I could be wrong though, but I don't see how they would be able to do it at this point in time. It just seems too late to me.

I´m agree with Lionsgate, the Wiiware needs to be part of the Wii U eshop like the DSi is integrated to the 3DS eshop.

Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.
