is this in bad taste, given the origin of the points?

Of course it is, given that Gamelion gave those points to you, so you can play their game, not spend it on virtual aquarium or re-sell on e-bay or somethin'

PS: sorry about the spoiler... but I think I've figured it out wrong and was talking about other level.... Anyway, the game is fun, try it out

I won the contest as well, and I don't plan on spending the points on anything until I see a review here, although I can already tell by the extreme bias the reviewers have for this game already that it will get a guaranteed 9 - maybe a 10 - so it might be better to wait for a review from a different site. (I think the ONLY thing that would convice me to get it is if it gets a perfect score on a site other than this one.)

I would object as always to any claims of "extreme bias" for this or any game - we've been reporting relevant news on it and we had exclusive content but that will in no way affect our review of the game. Most of our Furry Legends content - interviews, First Impressions etc. - was written by me but I'm not handling the review, Corbie is.

Although it seems bad not spending the 1000 points on furry legends, I would probably do the same if I won.

"What the Fluff?" I love all the puns this game is "fur real".

Thanks for the link Sebastian. I didn't realise there were only 5 levels. But they must be pretty long levels if the game still takes 4 to 5 hours to beat. For 1000 points that seems like a good enough value. I'm going to go download it now.

It really is better then I thought it would be, I got this one for free but it was good enough that I would pay for the next one in the series which is what Gamelion wanted so good for them.

Well, I think that if everyone spends their points on whatever they want, it might be the last time we see a developer do such a contest. Gamelion put some trust in gamers, that if they get something free (no strings attached), they'd at least want to pay a good deed back, and support their game .
Seems like the world is not working that way...

The world of today just punched that comment in the throat and crapped on it's chest. All while texting their friend about it.

So this thread is to talk about what to do with 1000 free points???

Pretty much...so what did you do with your's?

Once again one of my posts was deleted...

He [melvin2898] was not thankful to Gamelion for giving him the 1000 points, lied about his age in order to win them, bragged about using the points for something else and on top of that spammed the topic with all that.

@faildude - Please don't call people names whether you think it's justified or not: it never is.

Okay, maybe the db-word was not appropriate for these forums, but what about the j-word?
(I didn't know what a hard word the db-word was before checking my dictionary, I will be more cautious with using it from now on.)

So I went to buy this game and realised I only had 700 points in my account. I'm only 14 so I don't have a credit card and my parents perfer that I just buy the cards in stores (and I don't mind having points just sitting in my account). Anyway, so my mom agreed to take me to Gamestop IF I would go grocery shopping with her so that slowed me down a bit and I finally got home and downloaded it and......

This is probably one of my favorite games on WiiWare. It's lots of fun and it's HILARIOUS! I know in most games they seem tedious, but trust me, read every sign that you see. They're all hilarious.

Buyer Beware on this one. Only two days with this game, and I've wanted to throw my Wii remote at the TV far too many times. It's not that the game is hard, I just find to be too unforgiving. The character is hard to control at times, and then you get stuck into traps, and then you die, and then you have to restart the level.

I find it frustrating that it's too easy to die, and I find it frustrating that even when you hit an enemy, you still end up losing energy. I hate that you only get five lives, and then you have to start all over. I know that some people would think that that's a good thing, that unlimited lives makes the game too easy or too short, but let's face it: a game's length can not be based on how many times you retry a level. Besides, there's no satisfaction in spending a half hour on one level, and be so close to the end, only to have to start all over again.

As for the gameplay itself, I didn't find anything impressive. It's more like a sonic game with a furball for a character. I'm still waiting to see those puzzles they keep talking about. Overall, I envy those people who got this game for free, because there's no way I'm getting my 1000 points back. If you like to be frustrated beyond belief, by all means, get this game. For some people, beating a level is then that much more satisfying. The bottom line for me, though, is that I like to play video games to have fun, and this one just isn't fun. All the hype was for nothing. Buyer beware.

And with that I look elsewhere to spend my points...

Eek! Level 4 is brutal!!! I spent over an hour trying to beat it and still haven't! However I don't think I entirely agree with Bartok, but I do agree that there are some parts (at least of level 4) that are WAY too unforgiving.
