I liked the demo a lot. I thought the game controlled beautifully and it's a perfect use for motion control - can't be more intuitive, and it works great. Well, actually I did find that the camera sometimes was problematic. I wanted to look over here, but it insisted upon looking over there. Not a big problem, but I did notice that once or twice in the demo. Still, the $12 price tag has me balking. I wish they'd priced it at $10, then I'd have gotten it for sure. I suppose it's only $2, but then it's only $2, so they should have priced it at $10!
corbie said something about a pinball machine in here. Do you actually get to play it, and if so, does it save hi scores like regular pinball machines?
@LTG: Its not really a score kind of pinball machine. You just kick the ball around to try and get the Rainbow Drop and Puzzle Piece out of it. You can go back and play it anytime but there is no score to be held.
Just finished it. Excellent game, one of the best on wiiware. The only problem is the final boss level. It isn't fun. It is punishing, maybe not Cave Story punishing, but it breaks the overall wonder of the game. Still, the rest is such a fantastic experience that it overcomes this problem (and really, for a game that has to be 10+ hours long, the final boss is a small part). The locoroco comparisons end as soon as you start getting increased water powers and at that point, there really isn't anything else out there like fluidity.
Every time I play this semi-relaxing game, I though about that if the game developers replace the tilting water with the tilting Morph Ball the gameplay will stay the same but with a different title called "Metroidity"
