Anyone have the guts to pull the trigger on this one before the review? Post impressions of Wiiware's first virtual fireplace here!

Oh yeah I'm sure it will be a big hit. People will be downloading this one in droves. Personally I like to use my Wii for actual games.

Make of that what you will.

Instant 10/10 cult classic?

Together with My Aquarium, I think this is the perfect gift to someone for his 30:th birthday. I will give it to a friend and will probably get it myself shortly after. Two copies sold here

I'm sure the reason you finished the review so fast is that the title screen put the phenomenal in phenomenalsauce (a word only to be used with the likes of SMG 2, Cave Story, and BIT.TRIP RUNNER) and you needn't go any further to bestow NLife's prestigious "Breaking-the-review-scale" award upon it. Amirite?

Do want!

Am I joking? I don't know.

I don't believe any of you guys are actually being sarcastic. I think you all LOVE the game and are just trying to fit it with the cool kids so you can sit with them at lunchtime. I'm ashamed of all of you.

I hope Nintendo releases a demo for this game next week.

I know you're being sarcastic, but it probably will sell a lot, sadly.

Considering it's still freezing here I could see the psychological benefit to staring at a simulated flame for hours.

90% of Wii Ware games are crap, I have not downloaded a game in a really long time.

I buy wiiware more than retail and couldn't disagree more, the vast majority I took a chance on turned out to be fun, its a great service for quirky games.

If this idea was done well, then I would like it. Having a fire heater is actually a nice experience, beyond the heat a real one creates - nothing is nicer than setting yourself up with a book and coffee and reading away while the noise and glow of a wood fire is in the background.

Unfortunately, sounds like this idea is done poorly.

This was the best review of a "game" I have ever read. Excellent work, m'lord.

i agree. I hoped it would be a good quality screen saver with good graphics and sound effects, especially for those who live in bad weather places and could use some artificial light and fire to boost the mood. unfortunately it does not seem this is the case from the review. a pause between a looping fire crackling sound effect would be very annoying.
