I just got done checking out the manual. I like that you can get dif cards like Guilty gear (smart move, maybe it'll help it in the ratings department. I'm going to look up the main game online (defblabkasomethin). I may end up getting it (would probably have to get used to how to play it first). At least it's something other than texas hold'em. You going to be playing much today?

I'd like to but I have homework to do so I won't be playing as much but I'm still playing right now. If you get it, lemme know right away. Oh, and the DLC is lame. I knew it was since this was first announced but now it's hitting me even harder seeing how greedy it really is. 11 Card packs that only change the appearance of the cards, costing 100 Points each. 80% of them appeal to fans of other games developed/published by Aksys Games. Sure it's a smart move but it's really lame considering it would've been SO easy to just add it in without superficially adding in pointless DLC. At least in some of the other games, DLC was actually a bit more justifiable...

Oh, by the way, Daifugo means "the wealthiest" according to the in-game manual. The game plays an awful lot like President/Big 2 if you're familiar with that game.

Yea it sucks that you have to pay for the extras. I think you can get some things in this game using game points, like backgrounds. So you disappointed in the game?

EDIT- I might be tempted to get 1 or more if those cards. Wouldn't want to spend too many points on that type of thing, i think.

Yeah, points are clearly needed (through playing 1P Daifogu I imagine) because some of the backgrounds and frames you can use online for your character are locked at the start.

Disappointed? Well... I can't say yet cause I haven't tried online. If it weren't for Wi-fi support, I definitely wouldn't have picked this up. It's nothing spectacular but I didn't expect it to be. Speed was what appealed to me the most, really. And I thought you could play that online (especially appealed to me since you can't play it online in Clubhouse Games and it's one of my favourite card games) but only Daifugo can be played online.

They still haven't changed any of the music (they did in some of the other Family games by adding in one or two new tracks) so it's getting a bit old. When the music speeds up, it's a tad humorous I suppose.

You gonna get it?

edit:
Yeah, one of the packs is tempting, the Futuristic Pack. Otherwise, meh....

I guess i can. Will be my first Family game.
If I played a game like this it was probably a looong time ago. I might have played A**hole, which i read is simular or distantly simular.

Oh, this'll be your first family game? Interesting. I thought you got one before for some reason. Lemme know when you get it and are ready to play. I'll get some stuff done in the meantime.

Well i had asked about the boardgame one. Never got it though. Does that game have glitchs in it? I thought I heard that unless im getting it confused with something else. How's it compare to Pop up pursuit?

No... Where'd you hear that it has glitches? There's a minor thing with the costume packs but that can be fixed. Maybe you are getting it confused with something else.

Excerpt from my review:
"One problem with the second pack, though, is that the costumes can't be toggled on and off and so, they can only be used on the maps in the second pack. If one wants to use the normal costumes on the maps in the second pack, the player must first select one of the default stages, quit, and then choose the desired map from the second pack."

I'm heading online now. Wanna play? You wanna just search for each other randomly (it'll probably count for points that way)? Reply ASAP. :)

Good matches, LTG. Also, it looks like they do have some new music. Like in THET, you unlock new backgrounds and frames for your online character/icon by earning ranking points online. Nice.

edit:
Sorry, gotta get back to my homework. If I finish early and there's time I'll let you know. At the earliest, I may be done by 8:30 (in an hour) but I foresee myself taking longer than that.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! And yeah, I was about to start grumbling over my purchase but online made all the difference. We should definitely do this again (hopefully tonight). :D
