Well, I have started playing it Zach and I'm enjoying myself. But like I said before don't expect more than the eye can see. You know people's opinions can be completely bias and I'm being as pertinatious as I can possibly be. (<:

I'm reviewing this one, and very much looking forward to it. Glad to see it getting great reviews so far!

The way you worded that gave me the impression that you haven't started playing it yet. How long till the review?

The way I worded it gave you the correct impression. I had to pick this up as a second review as the original reviewer was unable to do it. I just finished my review for Bugs'N'Balls, so this one gets played for the rest of the weekend, with a review to come within that time, most likely.

Frankly I think the reviews are taking entirely too long on nintendolife. This use to be the place to get wiiware reviews first. Lately, it is last. It's been taking over a week and up to 3 weeks for some reviews which I think is unacceptable for a site that prides itself on wiiware information and reviews.
This is a great game... You don 't need to wait 10 days + for Nintendo life to tell you that. Plus they missed it big time on 3d pixel racing, so I wouldn't necessarily trust the reviews here anymore anyway. Anyone seen the review for 101 in 1 from norcurrent that came out forever ago?

We do our best, and patience is appreciated. Our reviewers are not paid, and they do their work between other commitments, which are often many. Most of our readers understand this, and we appreciate those that do. If we could write and post the reviews any more quickly than we do (and same-day or next-day reviews are not uncommon here) we would.

We pride ourselves on information and reviews, yes. Punctuality is a fantastic bonus but not always something we can count on, though we do try, and it's more than a little disrespectful to the team to hear you suggest otherwise.

Since you read the posts above and know that I'm working on the review this weekend, as we speak, and that it was only delayed because we had other reviews to write, is it not a little bit out of line to suggest that it will take 10+ days to hear what we think?

Very sweet. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.

I'd suggest to use the Classic Controller Pro for the game, if you happen to have one at hand. The better D-pad and much more comfortable zoom button improved my gaming experience quite a bit!

After the reviews I'm anxious to try it so I guess instead of saving the 500 points I have left after buying MotoHeroz for DLC I'll buy this.

Do you have some YouTube videos of the soundtrack?

I know the genre. Had 2 of these gridrunner games on the C64. Were pretty addicting.

I want to download this game soon but I need 2 questions answered by the developers:
Has every chapter a new soundtrack and story?

@SKTTR we currently have 4 escapeVektor: Chapter 1 Youtube videos, each with different music from the game. You can find the videos on NL within the escapeVektor features or just go to our Youtube page, www.youtube.com/nnooo.

Every chapter will have a new story. The soundtrack for each chapter will be the same.

We will be releasing the escapeVektor soundtrack soon on iTunes, Amazon and direct link via our website (as well as some other outlets).

How many blocks of memory does escapeVektor use for game saves?
I hope it's less than the 128 blocks MDK 2 uses |D

@Megatron2000 That's really not something to discuss here, and to be honest not really anybody else's business. Let's keep discussion to escapeVektor: Chapter One, thanks.

I just got this game gifted. Thanks, Yossarian! You're the nicest gamer ever!

As I started the game it said that I have Chapter 4, and unlocked the bonus content (world 6). How can that be? Also, the Zoom-Out (B-button) skill was available from the start. Odd bugs.

No, i don't have POP.
It explicitly said that I have "chapter 4". Maybe because it was a gift??

I got the Chapter 4 notification as well, and I don't have Pop on that machine. It's strange indeed!

The Zoom Out skill was not automatically unlocked for me, though. At least I don't think it was!

Hello everyone. Thanks again for the positive comments and responses. Just a couple of points of clarification.

It would appear that some people are indeed unlocking the bonus levels for Chapter 4, even though Chapter 4 has not been made yet, let alone released! We are looking into what is causing this. Perhaps Vektor is getting a little ahead of himself in his coding! Anyway, as far as glitches are concerned, it's not a bad one to have. You get a free, sneak preview of the Chapter 4 bonus levels!

The zoom-out function is not an unlockable. Zoom-out is available from the start of the game. We can easily see how it can be confused as an unlockable though as we have put a couple of messages in the game telling players that they can zoom out if they press the B button. Originally, we had no message to tell players they could do this and during play test feedback we noticed that no-one used this function (because they didn't know it existed!). So we decided to put a couple of messages in the game making it look like vector had coded this up.

Hope this helps and for those of you with access to the Chapter 4 bonus levels, we hope you are enjoying them!

Since I have +3,000 Nintendo points on my Wii, I might as well spend a measly 500 on this since it's getting good reviews and such. From what I've seen it looks like Pacman only with more EVERYTHING.

EDIT: Pacman with more everything is pretty awesome in my book.
