This is probably a dumb question, but here goes. A few months ago I bought PW: AA. Today, I finally completed episode 4. With episode 5 coming out soon, I was wondering which one comes first chronologically, episode 5 or Justice for All. Even though it's probably episode 5, I would like to know for sure. Thanks in advance. Also, I wasn't sure if I should put this in WiiWare or DS, so if I could clarify that as well I would be most appreciative.
Rise from the Ashes is indeed after 1-4 and before 2-1. there's a really good timeline here, but be warned, it contains some spoilers for the AA series. :3

I went on ahead and bought Justice For All. I didn't notice anything about the plot that pertained to that case, so it should be okay if you want to purchase it. Trials And Tribulations comes out next week, and episode 5 will be available on the 24th. :3
Well, yeah, Justice for All was originally released long before episode 5 was even conceptualized, so there's obviously no way it could be referred to in that. Episode 5 is just a "oh, by the way, here's some stuff that happened between these two games" retcon.
So, when I saw this thread on the main page all I could see was "Chronological order of Phoenix." My first thought was that the thread's full title was "Chronological order of Phoenix Sage," and I thought, "oooh... this should be interesting." But then it wasn't.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery

Sorry this won't be a mind less thread you were expecting.
Ace Attorney Investigations does make reference to Rise of the Ashes. Having only played the WiiWare version of the first Phoenix Wright game, the references were lost on me.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
3 Ace Attorney - Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
4 Ace Attorney - Apollo Justice
5 Ace Attorney Investigations - Miles Edgeworth
Of course chapter 5 of "1 Ace Attorney - Phoenix Wright" is an additional chapter that was missing in the GBA version and a bonus in the DS and WiiWare version. Chapter 5 comes at the end of "1 Ace Attorney - Phoenix Wright" and before "2 Ace Attorney - Phoenix Wright: Justice For All".

Ow, the pain, the pain. Struck right to the heart.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
