@Shinigami_Tidus I'm talking more about the musical part, not the outer-space platformer part. How would you incorporate music into a 2D jumping game? that's the question that I can't seem to find an answer to.

I agree with iphysBEAT, CORE, and VOID all contain just four letters. They could of used DASH or RUSH....unless the last three BIT TRIP. games will all have six letters in their name (most likely).
...or JUMP. Eh, who knows. I'm looking forward to it either way.

Well in Jumpman there's bullets that don't move until you jump past them in many levels requiring you to plan ahead and keep moving to avoid being shot. I could see a game structured like that where your actions cause the beats to happen without actually hitting them.
!!! The screenshot is pretty uninteresting, actually, but I am just glad to see evidence of the game, and the writer's praise is certainly assuring. Graphical style looks awesome, but it's hard to get an impression of how the game will play when all we see is flat terrain, an easy-looking jump, and a single beat that could be an item to grab or an obstacle to avoid for all we know.
Thanks, Chicken! You're good for something after all.
Man, these guys move fast. I can't believed they've shifted gears so quickly, even if all we have so far is a single screen shot. Of course, you can tell that it's not BPlus-quality work by how rushed it is.
Love how there's an Xbox 360 controller in the screenie.
This screen looks even better than the one I originally saw. My hopes are even higher than before. Definitely a platformer with some rhythm elements. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
I hope "Runner" means he's going to go fast. I hate sluggish platformers.
I get the feeling the game is going to dictate the speed rather than the player; pacing has been a big aspect of the Bit.Trip series so far, and I don't see them leaving it entirely up to the player this time around. I foresee Commander Video (or one of his chums) running constantly, and the player making him jump, dodge and duck as need be. I doubt there will be much standing still.
