Since we're randomly talking about other BIT.TRIPS, I'd like to say that I have FINALLY beaten BEAT. It only took a year and a half. :P

Now the only two left to beat are CORE (see I'm on topic....) and VOID. I'm on the last level in VOID but have yet to beat the second level of CORE. And then of course FLUX is coming, so there's that too.

Keep going at it, it's all about practice. A few months ago I couldn't reach the first set of rainbow beats in growth, a few weeks ago I couldn't beat the boss, and now I'm finishing the level on scores of 5,000,000 and up. And I really encourage you to beat Exploration, or steal the save file that lets you skip it (it's earlier in this thread), as Control is an absolutely fantastic level. It's easier than Exploration imo. :)

Time for some sweet Sonic Rainboom action.

OMYGOODNESS I JUST BEAT VOID!

Beat 2 BIT.TRIPS in the same day, I feel on top of the world. :D

Well now I will definetely be focusing on CORE quite a bit, and if I'm lucky I'll have beaten it by the time FLUX comes out, thus enabling me to have beaten all of the first 5 BIT.TRIP games by the time FLUX comes out..... but we'll see. ;)

Interestingly enough, I beat BEAT yesterday too. Planning on beating Super-Ego and Exploration (beat Control via TBD's save file) before FLUX comes out, if all goes well.

@shinesprite Maybe tomorrow. Turn on another Wiimote if you have it and tilt it so the paddle's in the middle. It will help all the way up until the boss.

I beat 2-7 in RUNNER last night which was great. 2-8 seems like the impossible dream now. Still yet to beat the first level in VOID. Baby steps, baby steps...

Oh man, today... a 1000 beat-chain in Control with a 150 multiplier... A score of more than 54 000 000... Just amazing :D.

@Odnetnin I've been finished with Beat for over a year, it's Core that gives me problems.
Also, love the corncob man avatar.;)

@shine Indeed; BEAT (aside from the Growth boss) is the easy one. I've actually beaten Control via save file from TBD, just not Exploration.
it was custom-ordered from the developer, too!

So I made it to the second wave of the Exploration boss but something is going on. I don't even know what happens but it causes my "missed stuff" meter to fill up instantaneously. This is haaaaaaard. D:

just remember that, as with all the other Bit.Trip games, the same patterns you've been seeing throughout the level will be used during the accompanying boss fight. muscle memory ftw :3

Scratch my "old" score, today I did the first half of Control perfectly :). Score was 94 000 000 :D. Once you get the hang of Core the game is just soooo great.
Are there certain parts in Super-Ego and Exploration where you get a game over all the time? It might help if we give you a few hints on how to beat those parts. For tips on Exploration boss, read what I say to SMF96 in this post. There are 2 other hard parts in Exploration. The first one is at 5:17 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlAqJz8YSI8. The second one at 7:32 in the same video. The challenge after that part is quite easy: start with 2 beams right, then 4 quickly after each other left, then 4 quickly after each other right. Just repeat the last two steps until the final 2 beats right, but for some reason the challenge control scheme wears off then.
In Super-Ego, there's a very hard part at the beginning but it is quite easy once you understand the super-easy pattern: it's at 0:56 in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifoO9oIFUv4. Also, watch out for the massive beats, such as at 8:08 (I believe they count as 25 beats each). Collect them immediately after they turn from white back to black.

@SMF96: If a "town" is destroyed in the Exploration boss, it's an instant mode-down. Here, watch the score list: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1760434492673&set=...
The main problem with the Exploration boss are the fast beats which pass the lower section. Best thing to do is to watch a youtube video (here at 1:37 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQX-ShYyPnw) and remember when they are coming, or aim continuously at the lower section unless you have to use left or right beams. Remember, there is no need to use the upper beam in the Exploration boss.

Well, I hope you guys beat those stages before Flux is released. Just 5 more days before Flux is released here, and a week for NA. Good luck!

Thanks for the help you guys! (and Adam, via Backloggery). I BEAT EXPLORATION!!!!!!!

Then, there's Control. Sure, Exploration was way too hard. But, I actually think they did that on purpose. After FINALLY beating Exploration, Control almost seemed like a gift. Not really that hard but still quite a challenge, and just a downright awesome level. I beat it on my second try. And I loved it.

I'm glad I could help :). Congrats on beating all the first 5 BIT.TRIPs :), I assume you can't wait for Flux now. Don't forget to play Control a few more times, it is just such a great stage once you get the hang of it.

I am curently practicing BEAT, so Flux should be a piece of cake (or anything close to it).
By the way: Why is it possible to get a Game Over at the Growth boss while you're not in NETHER? So unfair...

The Growth boss' middle name is Unfair, invmat. ;)
that would make his full name Growth Unfair Boss, and his initials would be G.U.B.--awesome

Finally beat Descent about 45 minutes ago. I ended up playing with 2 remotes because I had come to a conclusion a long time ago that I would never beat it with only one remote. I reckon I'm gonna need more remotes for Growth though. God am I such a wimp. :P

I finally beat 3-10 on Runner today too. 3-11's a real pain. I'm hoping I'll get both games beat by the time Flux comes out.

I don't think Hank done it this way.

I can get to wave three of the Exploration boss every time but the bottom beats are impossible.

I know this is a Core thread, but we seem to generally be talking about various games in the series, so I think it's OK if I say this. It's possible that everyone already realized this a long time ago, but, well, I'm just finding out so.....

Recently in school, we learned about Signmund Freud's ideas on the human mind. He says the mind is divided into three parts. And what are they called? Why, the id, the ego, and the superego of course!

Need I say more? All I can say is, Void kind of makes sense now. Sort of.
