I purchased Aya and the Cubes of Light yesterday. It's an awesome niche puzzler, but it's not for the easily discouraged. I'm impressed by the level design and the gameplay mechanics, the puzzles are interesting and immersive. Surprisingly the waggle controls are smooth and fairly responsive. I've only attempted the first two cubes, but I'm already hooked. The musical composition and sound effects are top notch for a WiiWare title, they really add to the overall overtone. I would award Aya at least a 7.5/10 and maybe even an 8.0/10, but I'll need to experience more of what this futuristic puzzler has to offer. If your a fan of puzzlers, I would definitely add this to your wishlist of future WiiWare possibilities. (<:
(What have your first impressions been of this futuristic puzzler?)

Oh, and there is a helpful hint option in the setup menu, that can be turned on or off if your wrecking your brain too much. I've yet to incorporate it, because I'd rather be challenged.

My bad @SKTTR, I mis-read the review page. lol

I'll will keep you guys informed if my opinions have elaborated. Have you made this purchase yet @SKTTR, I would think you'd be one of the first people to do so? Seeing that I know you enjoy puzzlers almost, if not as much as I do. (<:

Yea, I really dig puzzle games. Can't have enough of those. The puzzle genre is the most varied and unique genre there is imo. Too many people try to make believe that it's a casual genre or shovelware.

Aya is on my list, but there are a few other WW games I want to get first: ThruSpace, FAST, the two latest BIT.TRIPs, Phoenix Wright 3, NyxQuest, Max & Magic Marker, Robox... and Snowpack Park, MDK2 and some other NA titles if they get an EU release.

The schedule is full atm but Aya or any game for that matter could climb up on the ladder of my future purchases if they convince me enough.

Oh, I thought you already owned FAST: Racing League and Max and the Magic Marker. I would add Aya above ThruSpace on your wishlist. Which BIT.TRIP do you want, Runner? (<:
I was contemplating on Art Style: Orbient, is it any good?

You know ThruSpace?

As I said before: the latest BIT.TRIP's, which would be FATE and FLUX. I have the others.

ORBIENT is almost otherworldly, which fits the theme.
Put 1000 games in a room and ask 1000 people which one was coded by an alien lifeform, then the Art Style games would be pretty high up there in the poll.
I like to imagine that the Art Style's are the kind of games people in the future are playing.
If you like games that have not much in common with regular games, and are still perfectly playable, engaging, and polished to the last detail, and have quite good content for 600pts, then you should have already tried them long ago.
It's hard to recommend them because they're so unique.
However, after having been hesistant for too long, I tried and loved all 5 of them.
CUBELLO and ORBIENT should be good ones to be introduced, but you could prefer PENTA TENTACLES (ROTOZOA) and light trax. They're all too different. Pick the one you find most appealing and go from there. My first Art Style was CUBELLO.

As for Aya, I'm still undecided to make it a higher download priority. Tell us something about the good (and bad) bits in the game. Controls, level design, modes, length, replay value, graphics and music, innovation?

Alright @SKTTR, I'll try to post the info you've requested in next couple days or so. I'm fairly busy with schooling and searching for employment at the moment. By the way, I 've been informed that you've joined the NL Racers league. You should post your title in the NL Racers thread, so I can add you to the list. (<:
