These are some scans of Nintendo Power's exclusive reveal of Retro City Rampage, an ambitious open-world WiiWare game that lets you commit every crime in the book in hilarious 8-bit fashion as parodies of classic games (Super Mario Bros./2, Sonic the Hedgehog, River City Ransom, etc.) and 80's movies TV shows (Ghostbusters, TMNT, Fresh Prince, etc.) from the developer's childhood and even a reference as recent as 2008's The Dark Knight abound, ensuring laugh-out-loud moments around every street corner. Years in the making, RCR looks to be one of the best WiiWare downloads available when it hits the service this fall.

Just read about this in the new Nintendo Power yesterday. Definitely looking forward to it, sounds awesome and hilarious!

The Shpydarloggery
She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong. Also, Lindsey Stirling. Because violin awesomeness.
Current E.T. count: 31 Copies. 3 Sealed, 12 CIB, 16 Cart-Only.

Wait, this is real? Holy crap, that's freaking awesome!

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

This sucks...

It sucks that I have to wait till fall. 80's? Day one purchase. I see a Super Dodge ball reference in the city map.

I am looking forward to this game and seeing how it turns out.

The city actually seems fairly alive with vehicles and people, considering the seemingly large scale of this game and the small size limit of WiiWare.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

Fresh Prince was a ninety's show wasn't it?

Yeah, I think. However, there are parodies of The Dark Knight, so maybe they aren't too specific.

Thanks, I've been wanting to see scans from that issue. I'm kinda disappointed that there is no blood but still should be a cool game. This started out as an actual homebrew NES game.

Disappointed about no blood? Blood in an 8bit?

Notice how the Uzi and the grappling hook thing are used together. Uzi is selected, but the grappling hook is used. it must be mapped to a button once you aquire it.

This is probably my most anticipated WiiWare download ever, looks like it's worth more than a WiiWare game usually is.
