@willobee: Well, that certainly helps solve the problem.
@Tasuki: Maybe, but I shouldn't have to do that. Nintendo should just let you freaking download DLC if you have the disc no matter what your NNID age is.

I think its due to some laws in certain places that prevent them from that. Maybe you shouldn't be playing M rated games than till your 18.
Why not have your parents make a profile thats isnt age restriction and buy it that way. My son wanted to download the ZombiU demo but it wouldnt on his profile so I made one for me and downloaded it on that and he can play it on his profile.
I shouldn't be playing it? I didn't make this thread for people telling me I shouldn't be playing these games, I came for a solution. No matter what your opinion is, it's pretty freaking stupid I can't download the DLC.
the problem is some people under the age limit of 18 are impatient, they want now, now, now, if you have AC3 on CD but can't D/L the DLC b/c of an age restriction, it's for a reason.

Shows me that your impatient, and true you might have the AC3 retail game but why did you w/o being older. The solution is simple, wait 2 more years it won't kill you to have patience .
I understand your pain child. Buy a game you can for now, like New Super Mario Bros. U, Trine 2, Nano Assault Neo, Balloon Fight, Sonic Racing, or Tekken(if that's T. I can't remember). Just spend that money on a game you can get, then use another account next time. I got RE4 in the first month it came out thanks to Nintendo Power covering it, and I was 12. My dad bought it for me when the clerk asked if it was ok. Haha.

I'm not for minors playing M games here but if his parents decided it was ok for him to have the game then I do agree not being able to download the DLC when you already have the game on disc is pretty stupid. To the people who say patience, not wanting to wait two years to download DLC is not being impatient, especially since AC 5 will probably be out then. (P.S. I don't own a single M game)
I play M games all the time. The only difference it blood and decapitation most of the time. Bloody games on Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Turbo Graphix were rated 13+, since games didn't have as good of graphics as they do now. I know 7 year olds that play Gears of War and Resident Evil.

Not really what would be the point of them rating the game if minors could download it anyway?

Just make another User with it's age set to 18, download the DLC, then go back to your account.
Unfortunatley I added the funds to my NNID and they only go for one account, so for this I'd have to get more funds. I might do it eventually though, Thanks!

Ratings are suggestions, not laws. My parents know I play M games, and if I can play the disc on my account I should be able to download DLC, too.
