And yet Meme Run is the second most popular game on the site right now, and was the most popular one for a while. Either there's a silent majority or more likely it just gets hate clicks.
To match the tone of the game, the developer actually made getting Bigley a bit, well, trollish.
To get Bigley:
1) On the Title Screen, you do an inverse Konami code: Down, Down, Up, Up, Right, Left, Right, Left, A, B. DO NOT HIT START. That makes a troll face pop up and freezes your game.
2) Then, shout into microphone on the Gamepad: "I HAVE SWAG SO I BOUGHT MEME RUN". It has to reach a certain decibel level or it won't work and you'll have to start over from Step 1.
3) Then start a game. You /must/ get over 9000 points in 9+10 games. It's a combination of all the scores from those 21 games.
4) Then, email [email protected] with your Name, Date of Birth, Social Security Number, and current bank balance. You will receive a response with a download code for Bigley.
Enjoy!
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.

As someone said above...It has thousands of players daily. Miiverse went crazy over it. I came to this site to find actual Nintendo gamers and not just ones that play MK8 and Smash....and thats it. It seems to be a little better here, so I'll stay. Meme Run is just one of many miss understood Wii U games.

As a fan of The Letter I understand misunderstood games. But the way the developer has behaved is why I didn't buy the game and the reason why a lot of users here don't like the game.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

The game is popular on Miiverse because Ninja Pig Studios has marketed it heavily. Jordan makes low quality games (and Meme Run is especially low in quality) but his marketing could be argued as brilliant.
Move over Xenoblade, Link or other pile of loo, there's new hot cookie in town. All developers should delay their games to 2016, because they have no staying power against the awesomeness this game will contain.
Actually, no, scratch that, there should be no games after that, because there will be nothing new to bring into gaming or half as good. Just shut down every single studio.

I wouldn't say that Meme Run is misunderstood. From my understanding, it's a quick cash grab piggybacking off of the success off of games such as Flappy Bird, using memes as the main selling point. Throw in some pretty basic, yet flawed gameplay that gives the game false difficulty, and I'd say that's it in a nutshell.
Bearing in mind that I live in the UK, so I haven't been able to play it, (not that I really want to...) so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
