  • On Twitter, Two Tribes has teased something coming from the studio as well as other indie developers for Wii U this week.
  • KnapNok Games, Gaijin Games, Black Forest Games, and WayForward are the other teams involved.

Nintendo Direct, anyone?

A Indie themed Nintendo Direct? Cool.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Could either be some first looks at new games (cause from what I've heard they're all working on new games) in a Nintendo Direct.

Or, maybe a really huge eShop sale.

Just saw this as well. Gotta be a sale. Sorry!

Love for it to be new game announcements, but that doesn't seem likely in this scenario. Nintendo Direct? Wishful thinking to the extreme...

Sure, why not--I'll get hyped, mostly because it's so damn cold...!

EDIT: Anybody else recall Two Tribes tweeting a question about which Indie games we owned? I seem to remember the games being published by these same developers (something like Toki Tori 2, Spin the Bottle, Giana Sisters, Mighty Switch Force, etc.). Possibly related?

I'm also guessing a major sale,

But it's also going to be announced during a new Direct

Two Tribes games are so cheap I doubt they'd tweet about a sale but then again, I doubt Nintendo would tell them or let them tell about a Nintendo Direct in advance. Maybe they have NDAs for their games that are lifted this week.

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

It was a sale. Devoted fans are miffed. Life moves on.

Nail...head.

Is Giana Sisters any good? I've already got Mighty Switch Force (3DS version) and Runner 2 and the others don't look that tempting.

Yeah, it seemed pretty evident. New announcements would have been really neat, though.

Guiana Sisters is an interesting, tough platformer with real nice visuals. The switching mechanic can be tedious and it's unfortunately not running at 60fps (definitely would trade off some pizazz). At this price I'd say it's definitely worth an investment if you like classic platformers with a few modern sensibilities (for better or worse).

I'll definitely be checking out Spin the Bottle. It's been on my radar since day one. I often have company over, as well as two kids and their friends/relatives. So, it's the kind of game with unique value to me. Often with such varied guests, it can be difficult to bridge the gaming gap with anything but the over-played regulars (SM3DW, Wii Sports Club, Nintendoland, Rayman Legends, Game & Wario, Wii Fit NSMBU, M&S: Sochi, Tekken Tag 2, S&SR: Transformed, etc...). Something like StB can go a long way in both getting groups of different ages gaming together and entertaining those less gaming-inclined.

I know it's easy to ignore, but I have it on good authority that Spin the Bottle is a must have if you are in my position.

Indie-themed direct would be pretty great (as long as we get some news about N's big hitters as well). These dudes and dudettes do good work and I have no reservations about opening up my heart and wallet to their efforts.
