I still don't get why they chose Wind Waker. I honestly don't much care for the HD. The game was flawless as it was. Why not Twilight Princess, a game that practically BEGS to be HD, and one they even kind of teased with that Wii U tech demo?
I know! I thought so too! Twilight Princess probably even matches the graphics the Wii U has for a Gamecube game! All u would need is little twiks u wouldn't really need to change or update anything to do a remake. But they probably just didn't want to do the same thing 3 times in a row! Plus its also now a Select™ Nintendo game.

I would really like for that to happen. There is a number of great games for the GameCube. My favorite is Metroid Prime. There is also Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine, and a number of others. Those games' astonishing graphics would look snazzy on the Wii U's hd screen. The GameCube is one of my favorite gaming consoles of all time.
Its kinda obvious that it is why are you going to port gba and not gamecube even reggies said hed like to see gc games i certainly hope they do if they do heres my game list

What I'm hoping for is that (if) GameCube games eventually do get ported to Wii U VC, some of the more quote unquote rarer games will be among the list, with my sole request in that regard being Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
Ever since completing Awakening I've been wanting to play it (I'm a big Ike fan thanks to Brawl), but can't spend the $70-$100 needed to find a good copy. Same for Radiant Dawn only not quite as much (plus I can play that on Wii U as is, but I'd prefer to start with PoR first).
On the bright side Sacred Stones might be in eventually seeing as Wii U VC is going to get GBA games.

This. This! PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THIS!
I can't justify spending £80 or more on a second hand copy of Path of Radiance and I don't like how it plays in Dolphin either.
Bring it to the VC, charge me £10-15 and I'll buy it with haste.
I'd prefer remakes over straight rereleases anyways. Besides, I have all but 8 GCN games I want, anyways. (only two or 3 are really that important, and 3 of them are too expensive, and not good enough to justify the price)
I don't see Nintendo whipping out the Gamecube card this year because when they do, there are such a gamut of great, quality games to release. And they have to re-work these games to work on a gamepad as well. So 2014 might even be a pipe dream. I bet they're having trouble converting N64 games right now, as to why we have yet to see any GC releases. The games I would love to see:
1. Eternal Darkness
2. Ikaruga
3. Resident Evil 0 and 1
4. Super Monkey Ball
And with the N64, the fact is my high school years were consumed with Acclaim and THQ's wrestling games. I wish they had a way to bring those games back for us. Its such a travesty that when our cartridges and N64's conk out, thats pretty much it. Same goes for classics like Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur day, Jet Force Gemini. Damn.
I wish we would get an update on the other Wii VC systems coming sooner than later.

Nintendo Wii U VC thing is Super Slow. With this tempo we won't fill library in the next 15 years.
They release like 1-2 games a week?? Let's calculate around 80-100 NES games, 60-80 SNES games, 20-40 N64 Games + other platforms.....
with 2 -3 games a week, it will take a century.
I'm playing Gamecube games right now on my Wii, and I can't help but think they won't work so well on a Wii U VC since the Gamecube controller won't be supported. And it really is a magnificent controller.
If Nintendo fails to do a Gamecube VC, I think that the GameCube Era could be served by HD remakes like PS3. There was not as many games from that generation that I wanted. I would so download SSX 3 however.

I really don't get the hype for the GC controller. I wish I did, but it just doesn't feel suited to my grip.

Down to 6 now. I forgot two of them were really easy to get ahold of, so I got them.
