Now all need to do is figure out which way I'm going to play this game, TV or Gamepad?
From what I've read, the game is designed to mainly be played on the GamePad when there are other people wanting to see the game in the room. That way, the others get the Kitty on the TV with that special coverage of the game.
However, it can obviously be played without the Kitty "TV channel" as well. The Pro Controller is supported so you could shoot the space mice on the TV.
And here is the Metacritic version:
Official Nintendo Magazine - 90% (9/10)
God is a Geek - 9/10
Cubed3 - 9/10
Nintendo World Report - 8.5/10
Eurogamer - 8/10
Expansive - 8/10
EDGE - 8/10
4News.it - 75% (7.5/10)
NintendoLife - 7/10
Average: 8.22 (don't know if Metacritic weights some reviewers higher than others, though)
Gonintendo didn't have a number, but ended with the conclusion: "I didn't know what to make of Scram Kitty when I saw the first trailers. I was kind of indifferent towards the title. Now that I've had a go with the final game and learned what it has to offer, I've found it to be one of the best games available on the eShop. It' not afraid to challenge you and make you rethink the way you play games. Just be prepare to drop an expletive or two along the way!"
Waking up this morning, Nintendo hasn't yet enabled the download for this game, so some more hours to wait to play it... Here's a gameplay link I found in the Nintendo World Report review, which (at least to me) explains much more about the platformer-and-shootemup design of this game:
I have now finally played some Scram Kitty, and the reviews don't lie: that game is hard... But the game controls feel very natural and the game is really good.
One thing I now noticed that I haven't seen mentioned in any review is that the game data is global, so all users on the same Wii U share the same options and saved game state.
Yeah played a few hours, takes a while to get use to the controls and pull off fancy moves like a badass but its worth it. Its hard but accessable, i don't think its meant to be played for long sessions either.
Yep, this game is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Quite unique.
Good job, Dakko Dakko. Simplistic, yet unique, arcade action is not all that common these days.

If you're playing without other people watching the Scram Kitty TV, press Select to show the main game on the TV. I think that's easier when playing "single" player
The more energy you got, the higher and easier you can jump
Falling out of space will not restart the level, so sometimes you can take a chance with a big fire jump

Any other tips?
Cool tips, thanks. I know I'll need all the pointers I can get
