Topic: Runbow

I'm fairly new to these Inide games (Shovel Knight is my favorite so far) but I'm glad we got this one. Alot of fun with local multiplayer. Too bad I don't know of anyone else on my friends list online that owns it though out of 20 some people.

I don't really care for it. I like multiplayer to either be local or not at all.

@Dezzy: The game is a decent platformer in single player. The real drawnis obviously the multiplayer, but if that's unavailable, single player will siffice.

As for an honest opinion on the game, as I already pointed out, if you're playing solio, it's just not as good. "The more, the merrier" actually applies for a change. Usually multiplayer platformers are more frustrating than fun, but the chaos really adds a lot to this game. The mechanics are pretty solid, but I have yet to go online, so I'll let you know how that turns out. Overall, it seems to be a fun, if sometimes frustrating, game, but it only really shines when you have enough people to make it shine.

...Screw it, bought the game. lol

This game is starting to look more interesting to me, I may buy it sooner rather than later.

I'm wondering if they'll add more characters or something...would be cool if they got some of Nintendo's in this as well. Imagine the Inklings. x3

How is the online in this,is it easy to find players?

I tried an online game and the lobby filled pretty quickly. Then my system crashed for some reason. Probably overheated. Have yet to try again.

Lately there's been more players, though there's some bugs that will have to be fixed soon. Specifically the one where it would sometimes crash before you start a game. If you're interested in the game I recommend getting it, especially if you got the small discount from the Nindies demo since the game is really fun with multiple people.

checks Miiverse Ok so I'm not the only one dealing with this stupid glitch in the "Too Extreme" level. Seems impossible to get more than one medal on that one right now. :c

@Megumi: Is that a glitch where one of the logs in the water or perhaps that specific color seems to just not worj as a platform ever?

It seems to be the pink one, never got any farther than that to figure out if any of the others had that effect.

I remember that level. I remember being rather pissed off the pink logs didn't seem to work. I eventually found another way to do the level, ignoring the logs completely, which may have gotten me two or three medals. (I'd have to check to be sure what I got.)

It's most likely the fact that your game is on your external HDD and not the internal storage. While 13AM Games has plans on fixing this bug, a temporary solution would be to have Runbow installed on your Wii U console instead of your HDD.

I'm glad to hear the game is being patched for lag. I bought it for my partner's kids and we had a blast playing it. I haven't laughed that much in a while - just great design. The quips on the death screen before the level reloads really add a lot - there's so many of them!

Looks like 13AM Games finally released a patch for Runbow, while it still doesn't solve the HDD issue yet, it solves many other bugs it had previously like the music not playing in online matches or clipping through the logs in "Too Extreme". You can find the patch details here and they'll be fixing any other bugs if there is any so it's good to be vocal and let them know on their social media like Twitter.

Now (with the current Humble Bundle) is a good time to play Runbow online, it seems. Generally no big problems finding players.

I managed to conquer Bowhemoth today in a time of 1:36:01 and 211 deaths. The Bowhemoth challenge was addicting, but I'm not finding this game to be especially fun yet, so I might not play much more of this.
