I really enjoyed Pullblox and Fallblox so yeah I'll be getting this even if it is only a remake though I'm sure it will have some new levels for me to enjoy.

I have never played this game, but from these videos it looks like it includes a level editor where you can share levels?

Yup, although the 3DS games also had a level editor and you could share levels with QR codes. Looks like you can use Miiverse to share levels this time.

This sounds great!

I wonder what the "World" of "Pushmo World" will be? This could be a game suitable for multiplayer, couldn't it? Or would it be Pushmo and Crashmo in one game? Also, I notice that the release is in just 3 weeks in Japan, so I guess the preview Nintendo video could be to get the attention of the Japanese market of the upcoming title, while saving the new things announcements for E3?

Both NoA and NoE has made announcements today about a June 19 release for this game, with pricing info as well. The title is called "Pullbox World" in Europe.

So NoE has the cross-buy discount announced and NoA doesn't. What's NoJ's word on the discount?

It says something about 3DS and Wii U at the bottom of the campaign page, but my knowledge in Japanese is non-existent:

Is this a sequel or updated re-release? Loved Pushmo way better than Crashmo so new puzzles would be nice.

That's twice you've brought hope today. Order yourself a pizza and celebrate.

I'd like to think that it says something about saving 250 yen when you own the 3DS game, but I can't read it either. If they do have the cross-buy deal in Japan, then there's a chance that they'll wait for E3 for the NA reveal. If it's not in Japan then it's probably WU only. Regardless, it's nice to know that they are capable of doing cross-buy deals. Maybe that's a function that'll be in the next update.

I thought NL reported it as a sequel... If it's a remake, I'll just wait for the wiiu version.

GoNintendo says it has 250 new puzzles, so it doesn't seem to be a remake:

There's usually no remakes or sequels for puzzle games, just new collections of puzzles and ports.

Won't you just be able to make all the puzzles from the first Pushmo game in the level editor anyway.

This makes me wonder if that STEAM game trade mark is for digital.

Let's say that Japan and Europe announces the cross-system discount now and NoA doesn't, this is how I would look at it:

  • Pushmo World is announced today world-wide
  • Pushmo World gets a simultaneous release world-wide
  • To easily handle and provide cross-system discounts between 3DS and Wii U, something related to a one-account system must be available
  • Pushmo World levels are compatible with the 3DS version (except for puzzles that use the new features)
  • Pushmo World is based on one of the most highly acclaimed eShop titles for the 3DS
  • Pushmo World is released one week after E3
  • NoA hasn't yet said that there won't be a discount
  • E3 is an American expo

My conclusion is that it seems likely (until NoA announces something else) that this game represents the launch of a cross-system feature for the eShop, launched at E3. The impact of a cross-system discount would be higher if it is announced at E3 for the American market.

Yeah, that's more or less where I'm coming from, assuming that NoJ makes (or already made) the same announcement as NoE. It'd be a nice feature to have for sure, as I know that a lot of people (myself included, I must admit) would like to see cross-buy features. The funny thing is that I have Pushmo and honestly don't care for it. I just want to build up some more E3 hype. Hopefully the Miiverse community opens in the next week or so!

Strange to me they offer a discount on the 3DS games if you buy the Wii U one first, but those who have supported them by buying both 3DS already get nothing off the Wii U one to say thanks. All a bit the wrong way round?

They have already made profits off the 3DS versions so they can basically give them away. The Wii U version has costs that need to be paid, so I understand why they aren't giving discounts for the Wii U version. But I wouldn't mind a discount if they announce one later

I hadn't known of Pushmo and Crashmo until this week and now I'm almost counting days to buying Pushmo World on eShop.
