The problem with it is the psychology of how the whole thing is designed.
i.e make something fun for 15 mins but require 2 hrs of it to progress.
I am not really sure what you are talking about. Are you talking about grinding? Sometimes people get things faster because they are willing to pay for them, it doesn't mean you can't get it without paying for it.

I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Funny enough, this game popped into my head the other day, not sure why. Anyway, as there hasn't really been anything shown of this game so far, I'm merely at the intrigued stage. It will apparently be a free-to-play game though, so like with Steel Diver: Sub Wars (to which I only got rid of due to it's insane data size), I'll at least be trying the game out.
I wonder if we will finally get more details of this game at E3, seems a decent possibility.
I hope the F2P model they use is closer to Pokemon Shuffle or Rusty's Real Deal Baseball.
I hope so, too. Then won't even dream of touching it.
Well Rusty's content was severely limited unless you decided to pay. The upside is once you paid for a minigame everything it contains is open to you. I like that model a lot more than Pokémon Shuffle's potential to keep requiring money to gain turns/upgrades. Yes, Rusty has cost me more money technically (I spent about $11 to get the games I wanted and I believe everything at the lowest price comes to $16), but that's all I'll have to pay. I'm not willing to entertain Shuffle's pricing model because I'm not gaining anything that I can't just wait for.
Long story short: given both pricing models, I hope they go for the one used by Rusty's Real Deal Baseball and not Pokémon Shuffle (which I did get my share of enjoyment out of, to its credit).
edit: silly multiple quotations threw me off
It will be interesting to see what they do. If they go with Rusty's Real Deal I hope all the content isn't out from the beginning. I would like to see a few areas in the beginning and gradually more become available. Mainly, I hope they support the game for a while, like Shuffle and unlike Rusty's

I'm not a fan of the underwear shots. It just seems really stupid.
Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

This is F2P correct? Hopefully they can bump up the visuals. It looks a bit flat. Even minor things like bloom and SSAO would help give it a bit more pop visually.

Yes, it is F2P but we don't know what type of F2P model they will use. The video they showed seems to be pretty early footage, I will be impressed if they launch this year with a decent amount of content

The beta has launched in Japan today/yesterday. Tried it out a little bit, it's pretty fun. You have quick melee attacks with Y and strong ones with X. You shoot with ZR and can use a third person view in which you can auto aim and lock on to enemies or an over the shoulder one which includes an aiming reticle. I think I heard there was first person as well, but can't seem to do it. I prefer the over the shoulder for shooting, but the regular third person for melee.
Also so far it looks like one thing you can use money for is ammo, but it is free in the beta.
Just tested out a different character, it seems that each character has different views for their fighting style. One character named Sayuri has a third person view kind of like Ninja Gaiden I guess which is useful for her katana attacks and an over the shoulder view with a reticle which is useful with her sub machine gun. Another character named Dwayne uses mainly heavy weapons so he has a first and third person over the shoulder view. Y is still melee, but x switches between his machine gun, pistol, rocket launcher, shotgun and sub machine gun.
After playing with Dwayne for a bit, I found the controls kind of clunky... Could just be the character so I'm going to try others.
@Pahvi I've only played through a couple stages, but you fight through enemies as you make your way to a relic. There are times where you have to hack a computer or something so your teammates will have to protect you as you do so. Once one of you gets the relic you can't use weapons unless you put it down. You need to carry the relic back to the starting point to finish the level. If a teammate goes down you can revive them and you lose if everyone goes down. It also appears that you will sometimes face a boss, but I haven't gotten there yet.
I don't have a capture card, but here is a YouTube video of the beginning from NintenDomination.
I don't know if it's because I'm in Canda or if it's because it's a beta, but I often have had trouble joining a room sometimes. Also it sometimes freezes when joining someone. It goes to a black screen and when I press the home button, it shows up on the screen saying I can't access the menu but it won't get out of the black screen. It seems that this has been happening to a number of other people too.
