Just started playing this an hour ago and already I'm hooked, fantastic game! I can tell already I'm going to be at this for weeks/months just chasing high scores. This is a "one more shot" game if ever there was 1.Right back to playing
So it's worth the asking price?Cause i'm on the fence on buying it.
Most definitely.I've spent the last hour just trying to improve my first career level score, not even attempted the second stage yet.I'm currently 75th on the leaderboard,so I'm trying to get myself into the top 50 before all the experts start racking the scores up.It looks and sounds great too, cant recommend it enough.

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
For those that aren't aware, the game is currently on sale. $8.49 is an introductory price if you buy before 3/19. It's normally $10 I believe. Olli Olli is really fun and addicting. I'm going to probably get a points card and pick it up alongside the Way forward sales.
Was going to just make this thread, hah.

Good, I not going to pay full price for this game even though it looks kinda fun.
Daddy do you want some Sausage?

OlliOlli is a skill-based and pretty challenging game, with a very "traditional console" feeling to it. It's worth its asking price IMO.
Although the graphics style in OlliOlli2 is changed/enhanced, one thing that IMO looks better in OlliOlli than in OlliOlli2 (only having seen video footage of OlliOlli2) are the backgrounds. Having 3D backgrounds that scroll in 2D feels very strange.
So for those who bought it how does the cross buy work? Can you only download it to a 3DS that has the same NNID as the WII U you bought it on? Or if its just a code does it say anything about expiring?
I am picking this up today. Buying on Wii u first, to see if the code goes to the linked 3DS or not. I would rather not as it is the small one and not my XL.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
So I just realized how... awful of a system the Wii U potentially is for this game. Its a very twitch centric game where enough input lag can make it borderline unplayable.
Between a wireless controller, HD TV, and having to stream the image to the Gamepad I'd imagine input lag would really suck for this game. Hope I'm wrong on that. But that's another reason it's so great Nintendo started Cross-Buy with this brilliant game.
How does cross-buy work on Nintendo systems, for anyone that's gotten the game already? Googling hasn't been helping much.
There is no noticable lag on Wii U, also the cross buy is simple. I bought it on the Wii U first then went on the 3DS eshop a few minutes later and went to buy it and it was listed as free so it is all automated as long as both machines share the same NNID. Hope this clears it up. The game is crazy addictive after the initial few goes to get used to the controls.

When you buy either version, the other will be automatically free of charge.I know cause i bought last night pretty fun in both consoles.

Been playing it since I bought the game Sunday, it's incredibly addicting and fun. I'm barely at the second level of the Junkyard because I keep wanting to beat my Highscore on previous levels before I go on. The music is incredible too btw. Some tracks sound so much like something Nujabes or J dilla would have produced. I can end up playing this game for a few minutes or three hours. It's the perfect game for handhelds. (I've been playing it on the Wii U though.)
Regarding the multiple NNID thing NintendoLife posted today, has anyone tried connecting accounts after having downloaded the game and see if you still get the game to the extra 3DS? Kind of salty I downloaded it before that was found out, I could have gotten the game for my brother.
