I knew it, I absolutely knew Nintendo was going to pull something like this even at 99pence per download for NES games that's £71 for me and £1.49 for Super Nintendo that's £45 also and what about the sega, neogeo,turbografix and N64 titles ?? Will I have to pay full price AGAIN for those titles ?? I cannot believe it that Nintendo would pull a stunt like this pure greed. Way to alienate the fanbase that have supported the virtual console SINCE THE VERY START From 2007 I bought zelda on day one that it was announced I have spent well over £1000 on all of my purchases and I still have to pay MORE money to get them on my Wii u ?? How completely absurd I am very angry and upset Nintendo has done this even at 99 pence a Dow load I still have to pay ! What about the thousands like me who have a large library of games I wonder how they feel ?

nintendo is not making you do anything. If you don't want to redownload them then just keep your Wii and play those games on it.

Are they upgrading the games? If not, then I'll just keep my Wii. I'd say the same even if they weren't charging for downloads.

It might not be so bad when they update the system speed - switching over to Wii mode is a bit clunky at the moment. Plus, the Wii mode should definitely utilise all of my 32 Gigabytes (plus external) of hard drive.

99 cents is still very cheap, and you get a significant upgrade on your virtual console title. I would pay a buck extra to play Super Mario Brothers on the gamepad. If yoyu don't like it, please keep playing them in Wii mode.

I'm not a Nintendo fanboy and I have my own criticisms for the system, but some complaints are ridiculous.

Lucky for me I downloaded almost nothing on Wii Virtual Console. Just a few Mario games, and 1 or 2 Megaman games.

so let me get this straight .. they are not integrating the VC or are we paying to have the Gamepad functionality, because i couldent care less about gamepad functionality

If there's extra development time that has to go into getting the games ready for the Wii U VC, then I think that what they are asking is completely fair.

It's a bit like saying that VC games and 3D classics on the 3DS should be exactly the same, even though one requires more development. If you don't like it and don't want the upgrade, simply switch over to Wii mode and play them there.

You can still play your Wii VC games on your Wii U y'know. You paid for one copy of each game, you get one copy of each game. At least you have to option to play it on the Wii U, and even get an enchanced version for a fraction of the price! I don't expect Ninty to give me Wind Waker HD for free.

I would be more angry if I had a large library of VC games though I guess. I had a bunch on my original Wii, but that and all my other systems and laptop got stolen out of my dorm thanks to my stoner douche roommate. I never really got back into Wii after that, since I lost everything.

1. Restore Points: Great for those Nintendo Hard games of yesteryear!

....and Nintendo will sooner or later get rid of Wii Mode and integrate the Wii menu into the Wii U menu.......
