Topic: New Wii U: what to get?

Hi there, I know there are probably a lot of posts like this but I just bought a Wii U (Premium Pack obv ) and since I only have NintendoLand, I would like something else to play.
I know that there is the Ubisoft sale on the eShop right now, and frankly AC3 at 25 € is pretty tempting, but considering I've only played the first AC, is it really worth it? Thanks in advance

Well I already have MH3U on the 3DS (which I have since launch day) and Lego City just doesn't seem to be my cup of tea, unfortunately :/
Should I aim for something like Trine? I've heard a lot of good things of it

Batman; Arkham City Armored Edition. The only thing you could regret is not getting it sooner.

@Adhrast What other systems do you own? If this is all you've got, you've got a lot of options. Assassin's Creed 3 is very good, in my opinion. That's a good start (I never played the first two. I was able to follow the story when it came to the Rev. War stuff. Not the modern day stuff though). COD: BLOPS2 is fantastic, Batman is a good option if you don't have it on another system, Darksiders 2 is fun, although it has quite a few technical problems. Need for Speed: Most Wanted U is great as well (although I got it for half-off, so I'd wait on it).

I briefly owned X360, but sold it 'cause it's not for me, at all.
I tried almost each and every console/brand, PS360 included, but what I discovered is that I can't find any fun in any console not named "Nintendo".
It's not even about being a fanboy, it's simply that I only have fun on N consoles, they have awesome games, and even when the games are the same as the other platforms, they usually have something unique.

So, to answer your question properly, I hate CoD and most FPS/sports titles, but AC3 actually seems to appeal to me for some reason, as does Trine 2, by the way.
ATM I was thinking about AC3 because it's 30 € on the eShop, btw

I recommend Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. It's really fun.

I recommend MH3U, Tekken, Runner 2, Punch Out, and Mario. Lego is pretty good, too.

I suggest New Super Mario if you're into Platformers. It's a shame you haven't played AC2, it's a great game. I'm assuming you're also miossing Brotherhood and Revelations as well? It sounds like you'd be missing too much story if you ask me. They really need to release the rest of the series on the Wii U to get people up to speed.

At the very least I can also recommend Batman Arkham City, which I've played on the PS3, but most accounts have made it pretty clear that the Wii U version is exactly the same, but with some new stuff that don't quite add to the experience, but won't lessen it either. If you have other consoles, though, the GOTY version is pretty cheap nowadays.

Trine 2 is great if you like puzzle/platforming. Works great with the touch screen too.

I almost missed the chance to recommend Little Inferno. Seriously digged that game. It's eShop only, too. Doesn't have a lot of replay value, but it's one of those games where the experience lasts. At least it did for me.

If you're interested in retail titles, we've got a thread here in the Wii U section of the forums. If it's eShop goodness you're looking to pick up, the appropriate thread is here. Please feel free to use either thread if you need any further recommendations regarding which Wii U title(s) to pick up. Thank you! :3
