I can't support stuff like this, the developer isn't even trying anymore, he's just throwing stuff out there and hoping people will just pay him money for his minimal effort. With the Letter, it worked, this I hope doesn't work and he'll learn that he has to put more effort in his games to sell....or he'll try to make the Letter 2 -_-
so it can't even be considered an intentionally crappy game for entertainment purposes?
I think it would be hilarious with friends, other than that I would stay clear of it.
He started an indiegogo thing for a reason, to better improve graphics with a newer machine. He's also doing this project himself, not with the group. I just hope he works on his story telling. The third person perspective of "The letter", the design of boards and billboards, and it's short levels kept the game from being 'good', but it could still be enjoyable for certain people. To me, graphics aren't what kill a game. If that was true, most N64 games wouldn't have sold. But if Eli can fix his mistakes, it can make this game possibly rate a 5/10.

It's dangerous to go Alone.
I'm worried about what this represents. So far, there's been some bad indies, but nothing on the scale of this guy, who tosses out garbage that should be free mobile games into the eShop. I don't want this to become any kind of precedent. There needs to be a standard of quality in the eShop.
If you failed your kickstarter and decided to go ahead and make your game for 10 bucks anyway, it should not be on a console, period.

he's bad omen
that's a sign of the downfall of the world of gaming...

Here's hoping Eli is secretly Jesus Christ...because he's gonna need to work a miracle to save this mess. :-
This line made my day LMAO. Saw the trailer and the game just looked so boring, also did anyone else think Portal when the story was being presented to us?
The cat's the only cat who knows where it's at.

I'm not downloading anything else from this developer until he gives us some DLC for Block Drop U (and no, that update he did a while back adding sound effects and a level/map screen doesn't count!).

the shocking thing is - people are apparently buying these games to check out how bad they are.
It's an insult to Two Tribes who is actually releasing legit 2 dollar games. Or an insult to every other developer who has games that cost just 5 times more but offer 200 times more in quality and quantity.
I expected some kind of backlash on Miiverse because, frankly, releases like this devalue the console - if these things start selling (and I bet that The Letter has sold more digital copies than Scram Kitty & His Buddy on Rails based on curiosity and cheap price alone - maybe it hasn't turned into much of a profit, but I mean "copies sold" full stop) I fear the eShop will turn into another bad mobile phone app shop with tons of sh!te. It's already hard to sell the bloody thing to gamers, imagine how hard will be if 30% of the eShop is material like the Letter.
But no, no backlash, people were actually supportive! Nonsense, people get mad at Nintendo if they don't include stupid things like 2 players co-op offline tutorial but don't get mad at this crap.
