I got Castlevania Rebirth, but I had no idea M2 made it. I guess I started to hear that name with the Sega 3D series. They seem like a very talented developer, and as such, it would be nice to see an original project from them.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Making ports/remakes and making something original are two entirely different concepts. I don't find one credible for the other. I'd rather them continuing what they do best

Precisely. You never know what you are good at unless you try. If they make an original game and it sucks, then they can go back to what they do best. But we could be missing a great new IP if they are only left to do remakes/ports.

This was a simple case of ignorance which was settled. There is nothing off-putting anymore
Uhm... speak for yourself. I've found it off-putting my whole life. Ever since I was a kid and had heard that there was a group of male strippers called "chippendales" it has become impossible for me to not associate the two (since they are both pronounced the exact same way). I didn't know which had came first, nor have I ever cared to find out, as the answer would not dissociate the two.
Anyways, let's move on...
It would be interesting to see what M2 could do as far as original properties go, but at the same time, they are doing much more for Nintendo's VC service is than Nintendo and they made some of the best WiiWare games based off old Konami IPs. I, personally, would like to see them continue doing what they are doing.
Yeah, I'd like to see more 3D Classics, too. It's a shame how few of them there are. How about some HD Classics for the Wii U? Exact same games, just higher resolution sprites / backgrounds.
I'd quite like to see them create a new series of Nintendo 3D Classics - the sheer level of attention-to-detail and care that went into the ones they made for SEGA makes me want to see some SNES 3D Classics, and M2 are the only company I'd really have faith in with a task like that.
It would be nice if they could at least port the old ReBirth games from Wiiware and add new features or something. M2 are great at ports, so it would be interesting to see what they do with their own originals.

I like this idea. Maybe improve the graphics and make it HD? Other than that, I don't know... they already nailed the controls (customizable controls for each controller option).
