Ah no! I was looking forward to this on Wii U. It's a game that really impressed me with its Kickstarter campaign. Please at the very least let it come to Switch. I'm surprised more people haven't shown an interest. Its style is gorgeous.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Indeed, you'd think that a game like this would do quite well with the Zelda fans.

I think its likely that a Switch port is in the works. A lot of people backed the game for Wii U, and it should be easier to get it running on the Switch than on the Wii U.

This game looks really promising, I really hope it sees the light of day on a Nintendo console. Fingers crossed that we'll hear a confirmation for Switch down the road.

I'm just going to pretend people care about this game, and share some recent screenshots. It's looking good so far I think. Still a year until release unfortunately.

The Elite Knight Squad will be like the Yiga Clan in BOTW I presume; ''Elite members of a secret faction governed and controlled under the Royal body. They will be after you!'' The inventory is also pretty neat, it's a 3D backpack that shows all your items in real time. Reminds me a bit of the older Pokemon games.. Anyway, there's even more info in their update in the link below.

I blame the game update rate.

Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.

@Tsurii @Captain_Toad I almost gave up on this game, but apparently they released a ton of stuff a few days ago. Here's a video of some desert gameplay. Seems like some sort of story sequence, i.d. you get captured and thrown into an empty well. Desert looks absolutely gorgeous, and big too. They also switched back to a more simpler UI. Donkey animations aren't final AFAIK, anything's still early build, but it's looking good so far:

Here's some more follow-up videos of the desert gameplay:

And I love this guy, a troll named Toll, he guards the bridge into the Strange Woods and you need to pay if you want to pass:

Here's the rest of the update: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ldi/little-devil-inside/... It's worth checking out, they've got some neat mummy designs, and a few more enemies. I'm just glad this project isn't dead, because it looks like one of the best ''indie'' games I've ever seen.

Yes this game look really interesting, I noticed it some times ago but as you said updates are not that frequent, development seems to take really a lot of time and I forgot about it. I hope it will be completed someday it looks really good

@LuckyLand I think the early 2018 target is pretty unrealistic at this point. But late 2018 or early 2019? Quite possible. The only issue is that they take months to update their KS page, meaning many will forget the game even existed. They don't have Twitter or Facebook either. Oh well, as long as it gets finished some day...

@Tsurii I think a release is still way off. Maybe in 2019, but they're way behind schedule. And with every new update, it's looking more ambitious, maybe a little too ambitious?

Well, I can wait. All I want is a good game.

Here's an interview with the developers: https://www.invenglobal.com/mxm/articles/3844/interview-with-...

An interesting tidbit: There's a perma death system. When you die, your character is gone for good.

EDIT: ''The game will be released around the end of year 2018.'' It's coming next year (or early 2019)!

''The PC version will come out first, followed by the console. We are also interested in launching it on the Nintendo Switch.''

@Octane
Saw that. I backed the game ages ago. Worried that by the time it releases, not only will PS4 and X1 be out of date, so will the Switch (which was already out of date for Wii U, the original platform lol).

It's looking good though. Not as much fantasy as originally pitched. More like Flame In the Flood survival. But I'm down for whatever they have envisioned.

It looks good but what systems is this coming out on now?

@jump PS4, PS5 and PC, Xbox One and Series X are also a given, and maybe Switch. I mean, it started out as a Wii U game, so it's only logical I think.

I funded this on Kickstarter in... 2016 I think? Maybe earlier. It was originally a Wii U stretch goal.

After five long years of silence, to the point people basically stopped even posting in the kick starter comment section, come to find out they’ve sold out timed exclusivity to Sony in order to cash in... hurray! Ugh.

Not that I necessarily expected the Nintendo version (which is presumably going to be Switch now) on the same day, since it was a stretch goal after all, but it really ticks me off seeing them ask for funding to make the game, go dark for 5 years, then re-emerge with a timed exclusivity deal, without even telling the backers beforehand. Sony is scummy like Epic. They do this all the freaking time. Just did it for Final Fantasy VII Remake too, but nobody ever says anything because they’re all PlayStation gamers and consequently the beneficiary of such tactics. When it’s Epic people have no problem boycotting, or when it’s Microsoft with Tomb Raider (massive backlash). Sony... they get cheers. It’s unbelievable.

But enough about that because I could rant all day about Sony buying out already-developed games to prevent others from playing until later. This is about Little Devil Inside.

I get a free code so I guess I’ll choose the Steam version, since they did say the timed exclusivity deal did not affect PC. That is, of course, unless they also signed with Epic to cash in yet AGAIN. Which would absolutely not surprise me at this point. These developers are scum bags. If they offered a free additional Steam code to all backers I’d be cool. But they won’t.

That all being said, the game does look good, and as long as it comes to Switch after the deal, I’ll be happy (happy enough, anyways). People will blast them hard if it doesn’t. Most of their backers were Nintendo gamers looking to get this game on the Wii U at the time. It’s already a fire storm in their comments due to the exclusivity deal.

BabyYoda71

How many delays has this game seen?

Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.

Octane

@JaxonH Timed exclusive deals suck, especially if they happen after the game has already been announced. I didn't expect this to be a PS4/5 exclusive either. And it's weird, because Neostream already signed a deal with a publisher a while back IIRC, that got quite a few people upset as well.

The only good thing I can say is that this deal means that it'll come out at some point, instead of being vaporware for another decade.

@BabyYoshi12 It never got a proper release date in the first place, but the goal was 2016 originally.
