Topic: Holy Cow!!! MK8 has already received a permanent price drop in NA!

If you pay close attention on MK8's current price of $44.99 you'll notice that it isn't listed as a sale or discount price, which means that it's a permanent price-drop! What do you think? Is it an error or has it really received a permanent price-reduction of $15?

How about no, it's part of the throwback sale.

Do your research

I would think that the eShop is enough research.

Apparently it isn't enough research, though, because it is indeed just part of the Throwback Sale.

Yes, but the other games on the throwback sale are marked as being on-sale whereas MK8 has no such tag...

Metroid Prime Trilogy doesn't.

That's the way it is with every game that has an introductory price, but games that go on-sale are listed with the sale tag on the eshop, while price-reductions aren't tagged.

Not all the time. Sometimes games are put on sale without the "Sale" tag. I don't expect this to be a permanent price drop, Mario Kart is an Evergreen title.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Super Mario 3D World was priced at the same price a few weeks ago and now it's back to normal. So no Mario Kart 8 has not had a permanent price reduction. Very rarely do Mario games of a current gen console get permanent price reductions.

You should do more research before starting rumors.
