I don't see any threads for it, but if by any chance an EDGE for Wii U thread exists here, please provide the link.
This is a thread for that ace puzzler EDGE. I think it's way more bang for its buck. However as much as it is good, I have a few cons.
1. Fixed cameras. Even if I control using the right side of the cube, sometimes I'm will be scared about making a wrong turn or something.
2. Lack of design variety: I can forgive the limited soundtrack because it sounds so good, but I don't approve of the apparently one stage theme. Sure it looks great at first in HD and 60fps (looks great too on the GamePad), but then it gets boring and you just wish there was another form of stage background apart from the spacey design. Don't get me wrong though, I love the simplistic stage designs - it brings tight puzzles.
3. I don't really dig that hazy effect the far sides of the stage on the screen, especially around its edges. It's kinda rough on my eyes. I also don't like your flashing grades, for some reason.... seizure inducing?
But everything else is so good. Sweet limited music as well as superb stage level design... From what I've played so far, I give the game an 8.

Talk about EDGE here!

Stop making techno-y soundtracks for video games. It's better at it making memorable songs compared to some games (because I actually remember a couple of songs at least) but I swear it seems like every lower budget game I play seems to have this exact same music, which is basically video game techno, electronic music that just makes me wish the original Super Monkey Ball games. Some of the games that did this also played a bit like Monkey Ball, so that only added to my comparisons to that.

Otherwise it's a solid game, if nothing that great.

Well, I do believe the game is inspired by 8-bit as so is the music. I think the music fits the game, with its simplistic cubey visuals.

a blind man in a dark alley can achieve the same results by toying with the 3DS Korg synth for 1:45 minutes.

btw I really like EDGE, though I decided to go for the 3DS version for anytime-anywhere sessions.

Many games have crappy techno soundtracks, all right, that's true.

But EDGE has more than twenty CD quality, 8-bit inspired electronic tunes.
They're not just some quickly mashed annoying 30 second loops. This is real music with structure and melody composed by various artists clocking in at 2-4min in length for each piece.
It isn't limited in any way. It's innovative and retro at the same time. Not all of it is awesomely great, but some are funky and deep enough. And it's much better than what you normally get in a freaking 1.99€ game.
One of my favourite soundtracks on Wii U so far. Because I'm sometimes going back playing this game just for the music.

And with more than 80 replayable stages, original and addictive gameplay, and polished mechanics, this is also one of my Wii U eShop favourites.

I've enjoyed this game a lot! been a while since i played it, but for $2, it's hard to beat. it's fun to just play a level and put it down for a while and then pick it up again. i have Rush too, but didn'tget into that one

Yeah, I'm enjoying the game so far - it's very fun. It starts to get challenging later on... luckily, I'm almost done with the game! Those pesky prisms, though....

At least for me, there's gonna be some replay value every now and then to see if I can get a higher score.
