Topic: Don't Starve

So going around pulling grass and breaking rocks out in a dangerous wilderness that a evil entity just droppped you into, and you encounter a giant gaping maw. Do you:

A) Run away as fast as your tiny legs will take you
B) chuck something into it to see what happens, science style
or
C) Jump straight into it with wild abandon, going "Yee-Haaa!"

If your answer is C, congratulations, you've been playing way too much Don't Starve. Seek help immediately.

This looks great. The gamepad is perfect for some relaxed off-screen wood chunking and stocking up on food. I already own it on PC but for a game this good, I'll gladly double dip.

Is this version getting Co op? Cause that mode might be the reason i buy this game again.

No, and I don't know if they will add it later. If they do I would buy it in a heart beat. I already own it on PC but local Co-Op on Wii U (1 player on the tv and the other on the gamepad) would make it worth a double dip for me

The deal where you get two copies of Don't Starve is adapted from the BETA PC version. When Don't Starve was still in BETA, you could get two copies for the price of $11. It was a really good deal!

Thinking of buying this when it comes out. I have it on the PS4, though, so I'll only get it if I have somebody who is going to play it with me for at least a couple days. Obviously I could give you the extra code if you need it. Anybody up for this?

I didn't think it was actually multiplayer on Wii U, but if it is then I'll take you up on that deal. I love me some Don't Starve.

With that said, if anyone is in the multiplayer Beta on the PC, maybe we could set up a group to play with - it's nice to play consistently with a group of people than just in random online servers.

@Geonjaha Shoot, you're right. Same with the PS4 version I already bought...I feel dumb now, since I was actually in it for the multiplayer. Oh well. At least I won't have to worry about what to do with an extra copy...I'll stick with the version I already own...

Is anyone in NA doing the B1G1 for Don't Starve? I'd love to trade a code for Guacamelee!, OlliOlli, or SteamWorld Dig.

I bought the Humble Bundle and just needed 1 Wii U game from it, so I gave my friend all the other Wii U codes and told him he could pay me back by buying Don't Starve today and sending me the extra copy lol

Hey, if anyone doesn't want their free extra copy, I would trade Steam World Dig, Stealth 2, the Fall, Oliioliie, or Guacamole for it. Or maybe 2 of these.

I think I'm on the same boat as a lot of people here, I have all of the 3DS (except Moon Chronicles) codes from the humble bundle to trade for a Don't Starve spare code (willing to give them all) and also Steamworld Dig Wii U version.

You guys should probably be looking here for trades. We should keep this for discussion on the actual game.

I'm only two hours in, but man is this game incredibly addictive or what?

I know it's real-time rather than turn-based, but it does remind me a lot of my favorite TBS franchises, such as Civilization and Heroes of Might & Magic. I foresee myself spending many, many hours on this one.

Does anyone know if bonus codes are restricted to the country they were purchased from? Could I give my code to someone in the UK or France for example?

I hope and think that they are only restricted to the regions (europe, america, japan). But hey, I could try it for you, since I´m from Germany and looking for a PAL-code. ;-]
