A unique survival-horror sandbox game is finally coming to the Wii U! I have been begging for this game to come to the Wii U for over two years, and here it comes. Discuss your thoughts about this game on the Wii U. I am so happy that it's finally coming!

Will it have Co-Op? The PC versions Co-Op is in beta

Well the DLC for don't starve is something to do with giants, so I'm guessing this will include the base game and the dlc...

@Sanya you are correct, it is infact all rumor at this point.

After a small amount of research it looks like it will not have co-op. This is basically the Wii U version of the PlayStation version they made. Hopefully we will get some DLC for Co-Op at some point.

I have this game on PC and always thought it would be better to play with a friend.

So what kind of game is this exactly? Not a fan of horror games. lol

Yeah even checked the main page, apparently they have Terraria Otherworld coming out, and it's only for PC/MAC, with just Xbox One and PS4 in consideration. No mention of Wii U at all.

Well actually the console releases of Terraria weren't released by relogic, but by 505 games.

So it could be possible to see a WiiU release, but who knows.

I was about to get this game on PC, but I think I'll wait to see what the Wii U version will have :T

I got on PS4 early last year, and it's a great game. The rouglike nature and lack of mercy really makes the struggle for survival real. It's definitally one of my favorite indie games. I imagine the gamepad will be good for the interface and reccomend picking it up if you're interested.

I'm not necessarily sure this is my type of thing, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Especially since people who don't like this genre still like Don't Starve, so it's probably quite excellent.

Didn't see that coming. I've seen this game before on PC and thought I wanna play this but I probably never will.
Now that it's coming to Wii U I can't wait to get it!

Played this to hell and back on PS4. Really great game & very addicting! Will easily double dip. Really hope they make use of the bottom screen well. Just having map and inventory management on the Wii U Gamepad will do wonders to help out.

Playing some on my PS4. I want to say it's kinda like Minecraft, but it really isn't. I think Jaz described it better, it's a rogue-like without the RPG elements (instead you have some limited crafting elements that are more meant to make you manage your limited resources a-la Survival Horror games), with a Tim Burton-inspired look. It definitely seems cool, I just need to give it more time. It's one of those games where learning is half the fun (and I'll admit, I don't do too well with those kinda games).

Don't Starve is a great game. It's a full on survival experience, unlike Terraria or Minecraft that are more of a building game and RPG at the same time. You try to collect resources and get better equipment while constantly keeping yourself fed, sane, and safe from monsters. There are ~8 different characters to play as to change things up, who all have their own advantages and disadvantages.

The Giant version (appearing on the Wii U) of Don't Starve contains the Reign of Giants DLC.

The Wii U version also has a browseable map always visible on the Gamepad, the inventory on the Gamepad, and a off-screen gameplay mode. All according to the recent Nintendo Minute interview:
