And I was really hoping (despite knowing it would never happen) that they would have included him as a playable character. Or (perhaps in the way Pac-Man and Duck Hunt are filled with references to multiple classic Namco and Zapper games), that he could at least be a vehicle for general, playable indie representation. Like a shooting attack that has Quote popping up or something. I dunno. I just want more Commander Video.

FRONTIER, the developers of LostWinds and LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias made Coaster Crazy Deluxe for the Wii U eShop.
Maybe go buy it and support them. It's a build&puzzle game with a reasonable single player campaign, online modes and tons of creative ways to build coasters, it's very cheap, - but it's laggy and sometimes it's also crashing and unfortunately this hasn't been fixed yet. Calling it a "deluxe" version and having it freezing is just WTF! And them not being able to fix it more than a year after its release is even wtfier.
FRONTIER sure takes a long time for their fixes. The LostWinds Wii U transfer bug took them ages to fix too.
They should make a LostWinds HD Trilogy, That's the best way to go anyway. First two games in HD plus the new one in one single package.

These 3 games haven't got much (/any) exposure on a Nintendo system unfortunately. Need their main games.
Spelunky is a hidden DLC character in CommanderVideo's RUNNER2 on Wii U though.
