So Capcom opened their website for "Capcom Arcade Cabinet" , a downloadable collection of older capcom arcade games. I assumed that the Wii U version was pretty much a given, as several gaming news sites claimed the collection will be released on all major platforms(ps360, 3DS, vita, Wii U, iOS etc) a month ago.
Well, today I realized that the Wii U logo is missing on the website. only xbox360 and ps3.
wtf? really capcom? This is pretty much free money without any effort.
It's like in gamecube times when they canceled the gamecube version of the Capcom Classics.

I already emailed them why they made that decision but I'm sure I will not get any reply or some auto-reply crap (as usual)

No 3DS, PS Vita, iOS, or PC either.

capcom's reply will be probably something like:
"Well, we are planning to screw you Nintendo fans over as usual, so we are releasing all the games of this collection separatly on Wii U VC for 10 bucks per game. Also watch em getting released over 5 years(every 2-3months a game) and don't forget the removed online multiplayer and scoreboards. Add all these to our horrible business sense and you might see why there is no Wii U version....you fool! "

Not just the Nintendo fans, but also all of the handheld gamers and PC gamers as well.

You poor thing. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Any other game company releases a game exclusively on PS360: Nobody bats an eyelid.
Capcom releases a game exclusively on PS360: The devil has risen again! Purge it! Purge it! Send it back to the flames from which it has arisen! Such crimes should not go unpunished in this fair and equal land!

theblackdragon: ahaha perfect response to that thread, raylax

you don't get it.
this is not a usual "game" like Lost Planet or something. this is just a bunch of old arcade games compiled into one collection, only available via download on xbox live and psn store. there is really NO reason at all why they don't bring it over to Wii U eshop.

CAPCOM could sell those arcade games via Wii U Virtual Console Arcade separately. Like they did on Wii with a few Virtual Console Arcade games.

When it was leaked, there were more platforms before the other platforms were removed when the final version was revealed. This doesn't usually happen with most games, most other Capcom games included. I'm not a Wii U fanboy, I'm more disappointed that it's not coming to the handhelds.

Is that not essentially what this cabinet thing already is? The only difference here is that Capcom can choose their own prices. Seems kind of silly to me for them to pass that up.

But not hitting PC is just odd.

The gigantic emulation scene on PC might be the reason.

It's only announced for Japan right now and hardly anyone plays PC over there, there is the possibility that there could be a PC version in the west.

Nothing of Capcom's released in the last 10 years has remained exclusive to one platform.

But yeah, SKTTR's right, they're probably just gonna release the games on VCA separately. It's apparently not a compilation, either, but a place where you can try out and/or buy the games.
