Topic: Art of Balance, Demo and Discount This Thursday.

I'm ready for this. I just hope it gets announced for US soon

I've played Art of Balance for quite a few hours now, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in a photo-realistic-type physics puzzle game. It's a very fleshed out game, considering the simple task of the game. I guess the NL review appears shorty, but here is my own summary:

• There's one standard mode, where you solve 200 puzzle in 8 worlds. Each world is unlocked with 20 "points" and each world contains some new mechanic or material. 1-5 players can play on the same puzzle, and a player can join at any time.
• Two multi-player modes (taking turns or side-by-side as a time competition). These can be played locally, online or online only with friends.
• Multi-player can be between 2 and 5 players.
• "Endurance" mode with leaderboard, where you play as many random levels as possible (with 3 "lives"). You get more points for more difficult levels, and bonus points for fast solutions. This is a very challenging mode, quite different to the other "casual" modes! The leaderboard only show the top result for each player.
• Quite a few achievements/awards to unlock.
• Extremely good support for different kind of controllers.

A logical review score (based on the scale NL use for other indie games) would be 8 or 9. The only real issue I have is the sound level, which is considably louder than for other Wii U games. I had the same problem with Nano Assault Neo.

October 9th is the US release of Art of Balance.

Had a blast with friends in Art of Balance' Tower Tumble Mode. Really fun addition for 5 players.

I picked this up a few hours ago, and I have to admit that the NLife review was very accurate. This is an extremely well done and addicitive puzzler. The serene back drops also add a layer of zen to the experience. Highly recommended!

That's awesome! A demo is just what I need since I have heard nothing but good things but I'm very picky with puzzlers. I'm guessing the discount is only for the Wii U version since there's a 3DS version too right?

Well I have the Wii version and the 3DS version, but with the discount, I guess I can triple dip,....
