That's amazing for a "dying" console....
Yes, and even more for all we know! The eShop is the Wii U's greatest strength and I feel Nintendo needs to push and advertise it and it's large library of indie games more than ever!
So I was on gaf In an xbox download forums and a few of the press guys were saying that the Pier Solar Developer Watermelon is hard to get ahold for press reasons. The one guy who got ahold of them only said that they plan to release all the game versions during the same week and that's about it.

sooo looking forward to Shantae & the Pirate's Curse and Shovel Knight
not sure if i'll buy them for the 3DS or the Wii U.. probably 3DS
but no eShop release date for Shovel Knight (europe) and shantae getting delayed again and again.. :/ (well.. same with shovel knight, but now it finally looks like it's true, at least for NA)

Sadly, too many people ignore the eShop so it "doesn't count". No matter, there are some really cool looking games headed for the eShop.
Lots of them look cool but having played the original PC versions of at least 80% of them very few of them are. (The original Gunlord is great on Dreamcast but for some reason they want to water it down before release on the Wii U)/3DS. I hope the original is unlockable).
Blood of the Werewolf is good. 8 bit boy is still not quite right but its getting much better over time (Still getting actively updated).
Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures is quite good. (Still think it would be better with slightly less difficulty but much greater distance between checkpoints and more knockback).

The eShop upcoming games thing in NA said this week so...
also I heard its gonna be 8 bucks...er...at least on 3DS eShop. I'd assume it's be the same on both though! Which sounds like a great deal for such a beloved classic remade. Also How to Survive this week too apparently! That game is...a thing...I've heard.
And then Shovel Knight the next week and apparently Armillo is the week after I've heard! Hooray, momentum! Speed thing goes in, speedy thing comes out!
