You've read it right. Nintendo will end the promotion at the end of this month. So, if you're looking for an extra $5 code for every $50 spending, this is your last month to do this.

I think I'll be able to get 1 more code, depends on what surprises Nintendo has for the next few weeks!

You get a $5 code for every $50, not $60. I only need $30 more for another code. Then I will be up to 28 cards. Anyone have recommendations for me? I have bought a lot so probably more obscure recommendations lol

Bought $180 in eshop cards (at a 20% discount) going to look to see what is on special over the month and then grab everything else I want. Should have a few codes by the end of the promotion.

How about some virtual console titles alongside some eshop titles like ittle dew, or Pier Solar?

I have a ton of eShop and VC titles, ittle Dew I got in a Humble Bundle on Steam. I might do Pier Solar

I would wait till the last weekly update of the month. There may still be new offerings you'll want to buy.

You know, the DKC trilogy would be the perfect boost to grab one more code. Is that why NoA is holding it back?

Well now you guys get to regret NOT buying 20 eShop games in a single year.

I'm hoping to finish it off buy (hopefully) buying Tekken Tag 2 and Ken's Rage 2 a few day before NYE, maybe get NES Remix 2 and the Hyrule Warriors DLC before that.

I wish it was extended.

I'm currently checking every week for new sales of games I might want and getting those before end of year. On the last week, I'll look at any game I missed, esp VC, and buy those.

I'm actually going for the Club Nintendo coins as well, they only come with a digital purchase and I've had bad luck with physical copies of Tag 2.

I can't believe they're not extending it. They got the whole system set up and it is a great one. The only reason I can think of is that it would further annoy those who bought the 8GB, but they can extend that to both consoles. It really should remain.

Make sure you mention the ddp is the reason you bought it, maybe Nintendo will listen, anyway I need to spend 20 to get my next code so hopefully something good comes soon

Sadly this is one of those things that, from the looks of it, Nintendo won't listen to customers for.

On the other side of the pond, Microsoft announced they are extending the free year of Xbox Fitness indefinitely for Xbox LIVE Gold users, and they improved their rewards program to give people up to 10% rebate on all their stores (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows 8, Windows Phone) and up to 25% back on preorders (on top of the 10% rebate). That is also unrelated to the Games with Gold promotion, as all users, regardless of if they pay for Gold or not, can use Xbox LIVE Rewards...

You could argue that Club Nintendo is a more direct comparison to that program, but remember Club Nintendo in North America at the moment is but a shadow of itself, with very little rewards available, games on their 3rd+ month, tighter survey deadlines and exorbitant prices for new rewards.

Captain Toad will be one of my last purchases. I may get Teslagrad and Thomas was Alone, plus the HW DLC to make the most out of it.

And obviously, put me in the "let's keep this promotion" camp. They could even put a quota, like "if you got 5 or 10 codes during last year, you get to keep it" or anything like that. If they remove it, I am sure eShop downloads will take a hit (I know mine will).
