I just had this realization that since the fact that Nintendo is releasing this previously Japan-only game, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recca, on the American Virtual Console leads me to believe that other Japanese exclusives have the potential to be released over here as well, such as Mother.

Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.

Nintendo Network ID: Electricmastro

They actually did this on the Wii VC as well, starting in the fall of 2007.

Looks like I was wrong about Konami not supporting the Wii U, Japan's getting the Famicom version of Twinbee and The Legend of the Mystical Ninja. Only the latter was released outside of Japan both originally and on the Wii VC so only that will be listed here unless Twinbee comes as an import (although we did get 3D Classics Twinbee on 3DS). I hope Pop 'n Twinbee comes to the Wii U VC as well, which was also released in Europe unlike the Famicom version of the original Twinbee.

I'll add a new category, games only released in Japan originally but released outside of Japan on Wii VC as an import.

So, then are you going to add back in Ninja Jajamaru for NES to that list (which I asked about in the old thread)?
