Hello. There are a bunch of games on the original Wii's virtual console I'm dying to get, and I'm tired of waiting for their Wii U arrival! Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG; you can't go wrong with any of those!
I assume all of the VC games on the original Wii's Estore are in the EU PAL format.
What would happen if I bought a title on there and then later it arrived on Wii U's Estore, but in its US NTSC format? Despite the difference, I would still just have to pay a small fee to transfer it over? I wouldn't have to buy it twice, correct?
Having the original Wii built into the Wii U is flipping awesome, I love backwards compatibility, but I wish they just shared the same Estore and menu...
Most of the Wii VC games were PAL and I've upgraded a few which I expect were not (I think very few Wii U VC games in Europe are PAL - if any - as there was a backlash over that in Miiverse when it happened) so no, that shouldn't be an issue and you would still get your discount for the "upgrade."

Thank you kindly! That's all I needed know
They even have N64 titles on there, holy crap! Apart from Gamecube games, that's like the most requested thing on the Wii U side!
