Hello dear residents of the forum. At one time, I missed such a wonderful game console as Nintendo Wii, but fortunately I have Wii U. Tell me, in order to play Wii games, which option would be better in terms of stability, frame rate, response time, etc. play on the Nintendo Wii console itself (then I have to buy it) or a virtual console on my Wii U? Thanks for the helps.

Just insert Wii game into Wii U, wait until the disc icon appeared then press that icon to play. It will be moved into Wii Mode then just click the game icon on Upper Left to play Wii game on Wii U.
Wii game will be played in 1080p output from Wii U. It just only enhance the graphic but still you can see the jagginess since Wii games output = 480p. Also, if the games doesn't have 16:9 ratio support, it will be displayed 4:3 on the screen with black trim on the right left side. On Wii machine, every games can be stretched into 16:9 ratio doesn"t matter if the games don't have 16:9 ratio support. On Wii U, games will be displayed with actual ratio. If you have updated your Wii U, you can use your Gamepad to display Wii games as mini monitor. But you cannot play them with Wii U Gamepad buttons, instead use your Wii mote + Nunchuck to play Wii game on Wii U. Point the Wii mote toward Wii U gamepad if the game ask you to do motion control.
Well, happy playing. 😀

A bit late to the matter, but it essentially just comes down to if your tv has component video capabilities or can only do HDMI.

If it can do component, there's absolutely nothing wrong with an original Wii. But if it doesn't and you'd have to use composite cables to connect an original Wii to your television, the Wii U with HDMI output has a major advantage in picture quality.

Otherwise the experience is identical, beyond the lack of GameCube controller ports on the Wii U (Many Wii games had GCN controller support). The Wii U doesn't enhance Wii games in any way, although the perk of it knowing when a Wii game is 4:3 or 16:9 and scaling appropriately is a nice bonus (Beats using your television's remote control to enable or disable stretching as appropriate, like you had to do on an original Wii).

Oviously Nintendo Wii U is much better than wii. The Wii U is the upgraded-version of the Wii which probably has been designed to address the limitations of the Wii.
You may click here to get more info about Wii U and wii
The Wii U is a powerful console and a worthy successor to the Wii, in terms of performance. The Wii U comes built-in with a much powerful 1.243GHz Triple-core PowerPC-based Espresso microprocessor. The Wii, on the other hand, was a 729MHz single core device with a Broadway microprocessor. The Wii had 88 MB system memory, whereas the Wii has a 2GB RAM with 1GB reserved for the operating system.

One added bonus of a Wii in addition to a Wii U is that the Wii can play Gamecube discs while the Wii U cannot. Some Wii games work with Cube controllers too, but you can only use the Cube controllers on a Wii U for Smash U with an adapter (and no other games, Wii or Wii U).

Also, you can link your Tales of Symphonia Cube save to the Wii version only on a Wii. Not sure what this does since I only have a Wii U myself. Also unsure if there are other games out there like that.
