Topic: U.N. Squadron

This was one of my favorite games on the SNES and in the arcade. Would anyone else like to see it on VC? Is there a chance we would see it someday (or maybe also its spiritual sequel Carrier Airwing)?

There's apparently some issue with the licensing that's holding it back, especially in Japan, where it was technically a licensed game.

But Capcom's been pretty good about thier old digital stuff, though. I wouldn't mind seeing it in some form or another.

It's based off of the manga Area 88 so it most likely won't get rereleased. Weird timing though, I just played through it yesterday. Game's harder than I thiught. I couldn't beat it and I love SHMUP's.

I'd love to see it (And Carrier Air Wing), but only if UN Squadron was in its arcade form.

While I have rebought some of my favorites on the Wii U, this isn't quite up there enough where I'd want to spend the $8 for a bit of convenience and off-screen play. Especially with an RGB cable and an XRGB Mini for my Super Nintendo which allows me to get as nice of a picture on my HDTV as the Wii U's SuperNes emulator can provide.

I was on a Shmup kick, but UN Squadron killed it instantly. I couldn't beat one stage. Not. One.

My favorite Shmup, I would love to see it come to the V.C.

Not even the intro level? I got stuck on the very second stage but after a few game overs I was able to beat it. Then only 2 more levels and I gave up.

If is has trouble releasing in Japan (due to licensing that a poster said), does that mean the US' chances of getting it are hurt?
