Hi, I'm not a seasoned gamer so please bear with me. I recently downloaded Street Fighter II to my Wii U. I'm trying to use 2-Player mode but I'm having some issues.
1) When I go to "Options" I don't have the ability to select either "1 Player" OR "2 Player". All the other options have a choice highlighted in yellow, except for number of players.
2) When I go to "Vs" I can choose a player for the 1st player but then I can not get out of this screen. Nothing I press lets me out. Its not exactly frozen because the music is still playing but I have to restart the Wii U to get out.
Anyone else having these issues? I just deleted and reinstalled the software but that didn't help. Thanks!
Yes. I'm using the Classic Controller but have the Wii U Game Pad, too. When I'm on the "Vs" screen, no matter which controller I use to scroll through the characters, it just moves player 1.
@CantinaDanny Yeah, the Classic Controller is still the player one controller. Try setting up two wii remotes and then using the classic controller with the player two's remote.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
@Bass_XO Oh man, it didn't work. When I tried to start the game up with the Wii Remotes a window came up saying: "For this game control with Wii Remote may be limited ... disconnecting Wii Remote."
Frustrating. I can play single player. But any time I go to the VS Battle screen and I choose the 1P's character, that's it. I can not go further. Can't even get out of that screen. Have to restart.

You need to have the Wii Classic Controllers plugged into the Wiimotes since it is a SNES game.

As DarkEdi said, the easiest way is to access the touch screen menu. I think you can change the GamePad as player 2 with a single button press and keep the Wiimote as player 1. I haven't used Wii U VC for multiplayer for a while so I'm not quite sure but I think changing Wiimote as player 2 is harder and requires you to connect multiple Wiimotes.
It's its, not it's.
