Topic: Super Metroid

Roll on the May 15th, anyone who hasn't yet played this bad boy is in for a big treat!

I can't wait! I've been meaning to try this gem out for some time now, and this looks like my chance.

Quite possibly the best SNES game ever made.

Still have this game on my Wii. Never really started it because the GameCube controller sucks for SNES games. I should really start a play through.

Haven't played this yet, heard about it's great reputation though, I thought it was just ZM without the ZM.
But I'll certainly give it a go on my gamepad, especially for 30 cents.

I tried this game back in the days of SNES and I just didnt enjoy it at all. Of course that was my first time playing a Metroid game. Looking forward to given this game another chance.

I have to admit that $0.30 for Super Metroid is phenomenal. You Nintendo newbies are in for one hell of a treat.

I'd go a step further and say it's possibly the best game ever, period. It's that good.

Can't wait to play this bad boy! I'm almost done with Metroid Fusion and I'm loving it, also started Metroid Prime last night.

I liked Metroid Fusion better. The extra color, sound, and easier controls were what made me like it SLIGHTLY better. The only issue was game length in comparison. There's pros each one has, like Super Metroid being longer, better environment, the grapple beam, running all fast like, and Fusion having more color, and easier controls I think. Both worth a play definitely, but I actually like the first and third Prime most...

If they made Super Metroid with Fusion graphics, audio, and controllability, it would he twice as good as it is.

Sorry best Metroid Game ever, so much better than Fusions graphics, SNES all the way. Cannot wait to play on Wii U gamepad better be 60hz

Also that mode 7 bit at the beginning is amazing I remember the first time seeing that and being blown away, and the full voiced bit, (however sounds proper gay now lol)

No thanks, Super Metroid is gaming perfection. Metroid Fusion has nowhere near the soul that Super Metroid does. Super makes Fusion look lazy in comparison. But Metroid gamesare like pizza, even when they are bad, they are still pretty darn good.

Um the graphic and controllability are kinda the same quality I think?

Also implying that Metroid Fusion has the better audio...haha ok sure.

I do think the controls and physics could've used an upgrade. They feel a bit clunky after playing Fusion. I agree that the GBA games have no soul though.
