Topic: Sega currently has no plans for Wii U VC support

The main thing I'd want from Sega is classic arcade games, but if they don't want to do that on Wii U I have them on my Japanese Wii...

I like that they do the Sega 3D Classics on 3DS but they could release more at a time if they put the original ROMs on Wii U as well as doing the 3D Classics for 3DS.

That's a real shame, would love to see Saturn titles on the VC, not surprising though, we'd have seen something by now if they gave a damn about the thing

TBh I don't understand why their Wii virtual console stuff isn't on the Wii U but then I also wonder that about Nintendo themselves.

It is not done well. (It has those awful filters on it). The sound emulation is really bad. (The Game Over thing on Gunstar Heroes is a good example).

PAL is even worse as there are no 60hz games at all.

If it was put on the Wii U with the same quality as GBA (Enable and disable the filter for example) it would be much better. (And only 60hz).

Without off-tv support tho, it's the main thing that has stopped me buying the N64 & Sega games from it.

Really, SEGA? I thought at least Mega Drive would be a no-brainer on Wii U, given how much of a success it was on the Wii and how little effort it requires to do it.

It's actually pretty shocking. It can't be because of low Wii U sales since sales have been picking up quite a lot. Not to mention there's a TON of Sega fans on Wii U. Seems like a no-brainer.

Your pals Mario, Mega Man, and Pac-Man have all contributed their classics to the eShop, why won't you, Sonic?

Sega put a lot effort to Wii and 3DS shops, it is weird they don´t want Wii U.

3DS:

  • 3D Classics
  • Game Gear

Wii:

  • Master System
  • Genesis (Megadrive)
  • Arcade (some games with motion sensors or online)

Very very weird.

It doesn't make sense that they at the very least won't put a collection of games out there. Why not give us all the 2d Sonics in one dl and charge say 15 for it? Why you no like money Sega?

I would if the quality was high (And probably anyway actually).

There is probably about 10 from the Megadrive Classics Collection I have on Steam I like enough to want the best possible version.

Also there is loads of others that the only legal place to get them is the Wii VC.

Maybe they should start with GBA and then put aside a portion of the profits until they can pay for something great that runs everything.

I would get Gunstar Super Heroes straight away even though I just bought the cart its not comfortable for me using a DS Lite for too long.
