Still missing Golden Sun 2 and Zero Mission.

But I can finally quit complaining about Sacred Stones, yay.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Can't wait

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Neat. I wonder if the multi will work in SF Command? Probably not...

the Single-Player is still worth it.

Would rather have GS2, AW2, and Zero mission, but glad these will come out for others who don't have them.

I haven't bought New Super Mario Bros. DS yet to mess around with on my Wii U, but originally missed out on Partners in Time. So I'm particularly interested in this release.

But if I were to buy it here instead of tracking down the cartridge, is there a way while using the "Large Screen Display" option (Which sends the touch screen of the DS to the Wii U gamepad, while sending the upper screen to the television) to swap these around?

Partners in Time seems to focus the action on the touch screen most of the time, yet doesn't have much in the way of touch screen control (Apparently, only once in the game is the touch screen mandatory as an input). So ideally, I would want to be able to send what amounts to the primary lower display of this game to my television, while the secondary upper display is sent to my gamepad.

Yet that's exactly the opposite of what the most appropriate display option available here provides, hence the question of if there is a swap option for the display. Going to be pretty ridiculous if my tv is a giant map display 95% of the time, leaving me looking at the gamepad for actual gameplay despite the near total lack of touch control.

All the other display options, while some will be usable here and provide a one screen experience for this game (i.e., Top Screen Focus), aren't as ideal as this one would be while playing the game on one's television.

Partners in Time is one of the few games where I felt two screens was necessary, so you're probably stuck with the two-stack option...

I don't see the display option with the DS border as being needed here, unlike say Yoshi's Island DS.

Both screens may be necessary, but from YouTube gameplay videos, I have little doubt that a reversed placement as I described would be the ideal choice here for the vast majority of the time.

The upper screen in this game is merely a supplement as best as I can tell. So it makes little sense with the best display option for that one to be the one that's sent to the television, while actual gameplay is stuck on the smaller gamepad screen.

There are certainly viable display choices here, but I hope there's a way to display it as I've described (The bottom DS screen to the tv, the upper DS screen to the gamepad).

Nope. Most, if not all bosses take up both screens. As do flying enemies. There are also several portions where you control characters on the upper screen (I can't remember if you control the ones on the bottom screen at the same time, though). And good luck with the Flying Saucer Minigame when you have to move your whole head to see both screens...damn thing requires absurd timing...

Partners in Time is my least liked game in the series, but I still think it's a great game (to me; BiS > SS > DT > PiT) and currently it's the only I haven't finished yet. I didn't like command very much. Sacred Stones is pretty easy but I still like it much better than Awakening.

This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.

In those situations as I've browsed YouTube longplays, especially normal battles, the upper display is basically just sky with the action centered on the lower display. I'm not sure I've seen a boss battle, but I'd be willing to be flexible here and actively switch it up in such a circumstance since it's not like you're hitting a boss battle every couple of minutes.

And characters that you control are spread across both screens? It sounds to me like you're mixing this one up with the third title in the franchise, which was subtitled Bowser's Inside Story. Are you sure that you're talking about Partner's in Time?

Yup, most of the time you only need to concentrate on a single screen. And you can always change the display layout when needed.

That brings us back to the original question. Is my idea of the preferred display layout for this title even available (Which has the lower display of the DS being streamed to the HDTV while the upper DS screen is streamed to the gamepad's screen)?

It's not its own option, so if it's there, it's going to fall within the "Large Screen Display" option. Can that be selected and then perhaps by pushing down on the analog stick for an example, reverse the default placement of the two screens?
