I played the Wii VC version and I was impressed by how well it held up even today (and I have almost zero nostalgia for N64 games as I didn't really grow up with them, and most of them have aged rather poorly).
The game would be infinitely more playable with gyroscopic controls (so I understand the demand for a Wii U sequel), or hell, even just a touch screen. I hate using analog sticks for on-rails games. VR would be absolutely perfect for this kind of experience though, however I'd probably be in constant fear that a Pokémon is going to fly in my face. =P
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
This was my first N64 game ever. Auto buy on 1 day for WiiU. I skipped it on the Wii because it had been too soon for me at the time, I had played it to death on the N64 and even during the GCN gen I had still played my N64, it wasn't until the Wii that I ended up not playing the system anywhere near as much. So now is the time where I can revisit it and not feel like "ugh again?!"
