Lots of great suggestions here.
Nintendo brought in emulation specialists to roll out tge gba games we get today ! So if we all buy those they should pull their fingers out and get n64 s on the scene ! I also used to have episode 1 racer on the pc ! There seems to be more love for that game than I thought
Gentle reminder that a number of the Nintendo 64 games mentioned so far - Smash Bros., Kirby 64, Majora's Mask, Pokémon Snap, Paper Mario, Mario Party 2, Yoshi's Story, Lylat Wars - are all available from the Wii Shop Channel in Wii Mode. Obviously you don't have the Virtual Console menu as you do with Wii U Virtual Console games, and you do need a Wii Remote with a Classic Controller Pro, but the fact still remains that those games are available on Wii U in some form right now.
If you'd rather wait for the Wii U Virtual Console versions, that's absolutely fine, but beyond "Nintendo 64 games are coming" we really don't know when they're coming. It could be quite a while, since Game Boy Advance is only just launching today.
i am aware of this. and i know it should mean i have no right to winge.
but i have now got used to the vc menu and VERY used to playing on off tv mode whilst chilling of an evening.
we have been given this luxury for some games and i now ( although probably wrongly) feel cheated by the fact you have to log into wii mode to play others.
it all seems like a bodged effort to keep the games out there which i can understand but still annoys me on a this gen console.
i also realise i am now just venting but i think the root of the problem is the "wii" in wii u.
the only game i can see you would think about using a wiimote for is pikmin 3 and i use the gamepad for that.
i also think calling it the "wii" u hurt them in as much as people who didnt really bond with the wii were instantly put off despite the fact that other than the name the two consoles have very little in common. U-NES anyone ?
but i suppose i should just suck it up and buy a wii classic controller
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, great game but I never finished it, I blame blockbusters policy at the time and being so hard to find.
Bomberman 64: The Second Attack, Excitebike 64, and Quest 64 since I never own or played any of the 3.

1. Resident Evil 2
2. Perfect Dark
3. Goldeneye
4. Conker's Bad Fur Day
5. Pokemon Snap seems like a great choice considering the gamepa- hint hint.
and there are more but these are the first 5 that come to mind~
Killer Instinct Gold
Goldeneye 007
Perfect Dark
Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
Nightmare Creatures
F-Zero X
Mario Golf
Blast Corps
Jet Force Gemini
1080 Degrees Snowboarding
Resident Evil 2
Pilotwings 64
Harvest Moon 64
Wave Race 64
Excitebike 64
Super Mario 64
Just to name a few...
Seriously if Nintendo started releasing N64 games on the Wii U VC I'd probably fill my Wii U's internal storage with them.

Are M2 real experts ? (I haven't seen them do anything where there is not an existing emulator made by amateurs).
If they took on something where there is no existing emulator or the emulator is not fully accurate my opinion on this might change significantly.
(Say Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder / Daytona USA 2: Power Edition)
I think D4 Enterprise are the closest to being experts. (Some stuff they have done that there was no existing emulator for it at all - Along with the MSX on an FPGA). The sound is also perfect when they do it. (Sound is a big thing for me it is the only thing that can be exactly right - especially for Arcade games).
